I went to Car Mart in Stillwater OK, on 12/12/23. I was looking for a used car, and after talking to a salesman, I settled on a 2015 ***** Equinox. The salesman assured me the vehicle had no issues, and was road ready. I took it for a test drive which was just around a half mile, and in that short distance, I admit, I didnt notice any issues. The car seemed alright and I needed something right then and there. I signed the paperwork and the car was mine. The next day was when I noticed issues. Just a whole list of problems. I contacted them and took the car up there like two days after putting the down payment on it. I took it in because: it was pulling to the left, had fluctuating RPMs and dimming headlights, a violent rattling when in reverse, hard gear shifting, etc. They fixed one issue.I was working nights so finding time and energy was difficult, but I called them a couple weeks later describing the issue. They said I had to take it to a mechanic to get the issues diagnosed, then theyd fix it, didnt matter if I had had the car for not even a month. About a month later, when my payment was due, I took the car up to them, explained the situation and said they could take the car back. I was done and didnt want to deal with them anymore. At that point they promised to fix everything, and I explained that if they fixed everything I would be up there to pay cash so as to avoid future interest payments. We agreed, so I wrote down the list of issues, and they took the car for 3 or 4 days. A few days later, my car was ready. I went to pick it up, the manager or whatever said he was sorry for my experience and was hoping I would be happy. They fixed nothing. Every issue is still present. The fluctuating RPMs, the violent shaking when in reverse, the dimming headlights, the hard gear shifting, all of it.They lied to get me into a vehicle, they lied about the repairs. And theyre charging me $9k for a lemon with multiple recalls.

My wife and I purchased a 2016 ******* Santa Fe Sport on 03/29/23 from Car-Mart of Stillwater, ********. The buying price was approximately ****** dollars. The following is what we have experienced:* Brought the car home after purchase and there was no motor oil in the vehicle when checked.* Agreement with general manager to have damaged front bumper, sunglasses compartment (interior), storage compartment on dash (interior), damaged antenna, and missing light cover (interior). As of this complaint the only item repaired is the antenna.* Air conditioner not working. Have taken in to Car-Mart Shop and private auto repair shop at least 7 times and it still does not work properly.* Have attempted to register the vehicle and get a tag but have not been able too due to a problem with the title. Paperwork signed and odometer reading showed ****** miles, but the title showed ******* more miles. ***** to general manager about the issue and he assured me that it would be taken care of quickly. Again as of this complaint the issue is still not resolved. The general manager advised me to go ahead and drive the car and if we got stopped and ticketed, arrested, or if the vehicle was towed they would take care of us and the cost of the incident. After several days, in July I called to check on the status and spoke to the title specialist who appeared to be surprised by my question and knew nothing about my problem. She told me she would take care of the needed. Again, as of this complaint it is still not resolved.* We have made 3 payments and were current. The July payment was due in mid July, but I refuse to pay for a vehicle I cannot drive legally. We have received lots of calls and resident visits from the business about payment, but cannot get a call for the original issue.* Other issues that are concerning are Car-Mart will not return calls, seem not concerned to solve issues and poor customer service. I will NEVER tell anyone to go there to do business!!

On 03/13/2023 I attempted to purchase a vehicle through the carmart located in Stillwater Oklahoma. They had me put $1,800 down and told me to provide insurance on the vehicle before I could take the vehicle home. They did not show me the contract or provide me with a copy of the contract. After more thought I realized I could not afford to pay over $700 per month on a vehicle through them. That is over half of my monthly income. I am on a fixed income and have children to take care of. When going back to carmart on 03/15/2023 to try and cancel the contract the general manager told me they would not refund any of my down payment of $1,800 and was going to report it to my credit as a repossession. How is it a repossession if the vehicle was never in my possession? I never drove the vehicle off of their lot. I should be entitled to receive my down payment back. When I asked the general manager if he was really going to take my money like that he simply replied yeah. Im looking to get this matter resolved, before having to take this to small claims court.

I bought a car from Car-Mart in Stillwater back on April 15th of 2022 and I have been pretty good about keeping up on my payments The car has been in the shop more than I have driven it and every time they take my car it is for at least 2-2.5 weeks at a time and most of the time when I get the car back the issue at hand is not even resolved and then other issues arise as a result. Just recently I found out that there is no emergency break in the car which I was told is illegal and breaks are already acting up again and they supposedly fixed the issue a while back. I am frustrated that I am making payments on a car that I dont drive because it is constantly in the shop for one reason or another and I cant keep living this way not having a dependable vehicle.

I owe $400 for last month on truck payment I was in the hospital from an accident and got back to work recently I spoke to Heather at carmart explained when I get paid I would pay the payment I have another $200 coming due on the 15th and thry already applied that to make look like I owe $600 when I oy owe $400 Heather said she would note account and I would be ok I also explained I would be paying truck off soon. They came and got truck today after I was told they would not I mean I only owe 1 month. I have put a ton of money into fixing the truck as it has had a ton of problems since I bought it and really considered a lemon vehicle. I did the work myself because the last time carmart fixed it they cut all the wires in dash and didn't fix it before returning it. I feel they should stand by their word and let me have it back until I get paid as agreed by Heather. I will be getting an attorney
