    Purchase item for xmas tree. Tags still on and had receipt. Less than 23 hours later i went to return it. Found something I liked better. They refused to take item back. Isn't there any comsumer protection? I thought you had 3 days to return an item?

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/15) */ At Amber Marie and Company, we value our customers and listen to their concerns and attempt to remedy any situation that causes dissatisfaction. Upon learning our customer's concern about our return policy via a direct message on social media, we offered a solution and call to action. Please see attached photo of conversation. Once upper management was alerted that our customer was unhappy with our policy (via customers message) we extended an exception noting that we apologized that she was unaware of our policy and we would be happy to extend a one time exchange for her. We did not receive a response in return. Our return policy for seasonal items is posted throughout our store, at the register, and on the receipt. (See photos attached) We do have a tight return policy for seasonal items as the holiday season is very short and being a small business, we do not have the ability to offer unlimited returns on seasonal items. We understand that not every customer notices the signs posted in the store, on the receipt, and at the register...so we do extend grace on our policy. Though this has been our policy for years, we do want to have our customers unhappy. We try to offer solutions or exchanges on individual basis as we extended to this customer. We hope this resolution will let our customer know she is valued, appreciated, and once again welcome to make an exchange as offered in our message to her.
