Dr. ****************** pulled a tooth.Told charge was $427. I paid in full on date of service. My dental insurance sent a check to Dr. ****************** for $303. I received a check for $258. They kept $50 of my money.

Review of the claim and the patients insurance coverage shows that the patients insurance did not pay as much on the exam as we estimated they would.  ******************* paid $50 less on the exam, which was not collected from the patient.  ************** insurance does not always pay the full cost of our services.  We bill insurance as a courtesy and always do our best to provide the most accurate estimates as possible.  In this case, the insurance paid less than what was anticipated.

I saw Dr. *********************** for a 2nd opinion on my teeth, he examined my teeth and said one tooth had a huge cavity and another back tooth couldn't be saved and needed to be pulled out. My regular Dentist *************** in ***********, explained that the tooth with the huge cavity was just a silver filling. Also the tooth in the back that Dr. *********************** said couldn't be saved just needed a filling. I have called and asked to be refunded and posted a ****** review but have not been refunded for this obvious attempt to get me to spend thousands on implants. It was false information and misleading.

Patient contacted our office as a self referred individual who was desiring a second opinion.  The patient was quoted prior, per appointment note documentation (below), for the amounts that would be collected at time of service for the exam and the x-ray.  Dr. ********************** reviewed the patients concerns and reviewed the x-ray image with the patient.  Upon review of the x-**** Dr. ********************** noted several areas of concern with deep decay.  Dr. ********************** instructed the patient to follow up with her General Dentist regarding the areas of concern to determine treatment, if any, and to take additional x-rays as needed.  There was no treatment plan outlined in our office that the patient was recommended to follow - the patient was to follow up with her General Dentist to form a plan.

Appt note documentation:  REQ JKH ONLY Pt has been seen by GD in CORV who placed her implants?? but he is now 2 hours away but now she is having pain in 8 & 9 Self Referred, take Xray- she didnt want to request xray from office 10/23/2020Patient Comments:CASH: $107- $35-130

I am rejecting this response because: The information is not what this dentist told me. He said my one tooth had deep decay it does NOT have decay it has a silver filling, it never had decay.

I have spent "many" thousands on my teeth and have mostly crowns except for two back teeth, one of which this dentist said could not be saved.

I Do NOT have uncared for teeth.

This was an effort for this dentist to pull out my teeth so he could advise a very expensive implant.

I came to this  office hoping for a root canal. I ended up going to Dr *** and dentist in Eugene  who was a teacher at OSU and for $1200. He said the tooth will last the rest of my life.

My regular dentist **************** in *********** put a filling in it.

it was unprofessional and deceptive. I paid $250 for the visit.

    Sincerely,

    **************************** (*********)
