  I was set to work as a data entry clerk remote position. I signed the attached letter welcoming me. I was to have training which never occurred. They needed my credit card information. I had to purchase a very expensive computer and phone and then send it to them. They then wanted another $1000.00 for software for the computer saying it was my responsibility to get everything not theres. I told them I do not have the money as PayPal had already stolen $1500.00 from my account. I went to the company telling them I was questioning the job since there has been no training and me spending tons of money with no reimbursement.   As of 7/18/2024, my company has been attacked as part of an ongoing scam. People used my email account to open multiple job posting, none of which were from me. They then proceeded to scam people out of monies using these fake job listings. They posted on Ziprecruiter and on workable. I also had a fake check cashed about this same time using my banking account for $4800 and again today had another attempt for $1785.28. Luckily the first I caught and the bank reversed the second the bank caught and denied. At first I assumed the person who complained was one of the scammers and probably didn't handle it well. Now I understand she is just another victim. So, while I feel for this person, and I am sure that they are not done with any of us since I have had to field 6 calls and emails in the last two days about this fake job offer. I have filed this with the **** Below is a conversation with another person who luckily figured out it was a scam before they got snagged.
