I bought these chains and the first time I used them they broke. They have a 90 day warranty so I contacted the company and they asked for more details which I sent them. Even they they were installed correctly and I followed all the guidelines, they won't honor their 90 day warranty so I feel like I've been scammed. Here are more details that I sent them: Tire ***************************** part number used:245/75R16 PN#******* Date purchased, place of purchase. 3/1/2023 at ******* (see photo)Date of incident, additional details, supporting pictures of damages. 3/6/2023 driving up Little Cottonwood Canyon to ski Snowbird. Chains were required due to snow and ice. After several miles I heard them start to make lots of noise so I stopped and noticed one of the chains had broke so i had to take it off. What speed were you traveling? 25mph What were the road conditions like? Snowy Did your tires spin? No Tire chain usage information from vehicle owners manual.See photos. They replied to this info and stated this was not a manufacturing or workmanship defective product due to rust that has now formed on them and I'm shocked as that can be the only explanation. A chain link broke the first time I used them. How can that not be a manufacturing or workmanship defect?! I replied with this message and they stopped communication with me: Thanks for the info but I know it was a defective product as it was my first time using them! I'm not sure when it broke but it could have very likely been right away. The traffic up Little Cottonwood was bad so I was going less than 10mph for the first couple miles until the traffic picked up and I was able to go 25mph which is when I heard the noise. This was the only time I used them and in a rush to not cause a traffic jam, I took it off and put it in it's plastic case wet. Because **** uses salt on their roads, it didn't take more than a couple days for the surface rust to appear which is what you are seeing.
