I wish I could give 0 stars. Very unprofessional business practices. I contacted this company for repair of my Maytag bottom drawer freezer. Their information on their website said free service call. Then $79 when I talked to the woman at the business I asked about labor and parts if needed and any potential labor cost. She told me the $79 fee would be applied to labor. There was no mention of a minimum labor fee of $200. The service person showed up this morning. Walked in my house. Opened the freezer door. Closed it and stood up and said it would be a minimum labor fee of $200. I asked him WHAT? I asked whats wrong with this freezer door? He didnt know but it would be minimum labor fee of $200. I told him NO thanks. I was never told about a minimum labor fee. He said I needed to pay $79 fee I told him no that this was a scam by the company. I should have been told this when I called to ask about service. This whole interchange was less than 5 minutes from when he entered my home.I called HVACandapplianceguys office and the woman answering said she was sorry she didnt tell me about the minimum labor charge. I feel their advertising of 0 service call fee, then $79 labor application in ****** info and on the phone and never mention $200 minimum fee is a scam. I have told them I refused to pay anything for this. This to me is bait and switch and they had not try to make me pay for anything. They have an obligation to be truthful and forthcoming to consumers about their fees and services.

We always inform our customers about service call fee, $79 service call fee is a diagnostic fee, it means our technician arrives, checks the appliance, finds out the issue and provides all the details and estimates, technicians always explain how much parts and labour are on the spot after the diagnosis. Some people think that $79 is the total for repair, but it doesn't work like this, total of the repair depends on the parts, model and job complexity.
As a matter of fact, our technician checked your appliance and provided the estimate before the repair, as always, but he was asked to leave without payment, in spite of that fact that he spent time and money on his way to get to your place and diagnosis was made. It's also true about $200 minimum labour charge, unfortunately we don't provide estimate on the phone, only technician can say exactly after the diagnosis, we also waive $79, you don't pay for service call on the top. Of course, we understand your concern, and we will take it into consideration.
