My husband had his wisdom teeth removed in 8/2022. We didnt receive a bill until about a year later. I called my insurance, they told me that the dentist office just had to file an appeal stating that my husband did not want IV sedation and that is why he got non-IV sedation during his procedure, and that the rest should be covered. I tried to contact the office for many many months. I would either leave a voicemail or get someone on the phone and be told that a manager would be in contact with me. I would never hear anything back. I would just continually receive bills that did not state what I was being billed for. So finally, I got my insurance involved, they told me that the bill was actually for IV sedation. So we were being billed for something that did not happen. I informed them of that, and they decided to go ahead and make a grievance and penalize the office. As soon as that happened, I received a call from them the next day. I was unable to take the call because I was at work. Then, suddenly, the next day there was a claim filed for myself for when I got an implant put in. At that time, I was told that this procedure was not going to be covered by my insurance, and I had to pay out-of-pocket. So I paid out-of-pocket at the appointment in full. And now theyre filing a claim with my insurance. When I called the insurance, they said that they had denied the claim, but will reopen it and notate everything down. At this point, I am sure that they have removed the fact that I had paid in full. They are so scummy and slimy. I loved the dentist but I would never go back.

In early 2022 I had a crown replaced. I paid up from for what was not covered by my insurance. About a month later I got a bill for over $700.When I inquired I was told my plan had a waiting period to cover crowns. I checked my insurance plan before I had the procedure done and verified there is no waiting period (Beam is the insurance company). From here I contacted my insurance company to see why the bill was not paid. They verified that my plan does not have a waiting period for any procedure's. They stated that the dental office left out a lot of info in the claim.Such as the date of the original crown and a lot of technical info. I took notes and went into gentle dental and gave them the info that the insurance company needed and told them they just needed to re-submit the claim with the proper details of the procedure. Call me if you have any questions. A month later I get another bill. Excellent dentist and hygienist. Horrible billing department. I had a crown replaced. I attended appointments at this dental clinic from Oct 2021-Feb 2022. From the beginning, I let staff know I had 2 insurances that must be billed - my health insurance (primary) and my dental (secondary). As of today, my health insurance has never been billed. I have called Gentle Dental numerous times. They usually do not answer the phone, but if they do a receptionist assures me it is being taken care of, but this is not true. I sent a detailed letter to Gentle Dental via certified mail on 4/25/22 explaining everything in writing and giving them another copy of my health insurance card. I did not receive a response to my letter from Gentle Dental and I continue to get a balance due **** every month. Next, I got my health insurance company involved, and the representative who has been helping me has called and left messages with Gentle Dental several times, but he has also not received a response from them. At this point I am very frustrated that Gentle Dental refuses to **** my insurance and continues to ignore all attempts to contact them to get this taken care of. I am not the only person who is having this sort of problem with Gentle Dental. I know of one other person who is also having difficulty getting Gentle Dental to **** her insurance company.
