I had this company install a new furnace and heat pump for me about 11 years ago and everything went great. However, this summer my A/C went out and I got an error message on my keypad that said to contact a service person. The cooling system went down just at the start of a heat wave. A technician came out and after about 5-6 hours said that I either needed a new inverter and/or a new compressor. They weren't sure which. The bid to replace both items was $14,000. At that time they charged me $400 for a service call. I was a little skeptical of the diagnostic so I contacted another company (Lakeside Heating) and their service technician determined in less that an hour that all the problem was turned out to be a bad communication wire. They installed a temporary wire so that the system would function before I new permanent wire could be installed in the crawlspace. Their bill for the entire project (service call and fix) was $300. I ended up getting Anctil to reimburse me for the $400 service charge (after bugging them for a week) only to get a late notice on an outstanding invoice a month later. This is not a good company.

We certainly understand (and encourage) getting a second opinion. Just like getting work done on your car, or taking a trip to the doctor, different professionals may come to different conclusions. Were glad the system was able to get up and running with an inexpensive fix. We did let the customer know that we would be refunding their service call and also informed them up front that it would take a week for processing. The late notice being sent out was a clerical issue on our end caused by a change in personnel. We apologize for that having been sent out at all. Our invoice has been refunded in full as promised.
