This dealership ran my credit under false pretenses and an amount we hadnt agreed upon. I wouldnt have even known if I hadnt asked for the paperwork first before putting a deposit down that they had never changed the price to our agreed amount. When brought to their attention, I had to talk with his manager whom said it was a misunderstanding and were never going to be able to sell it at the amount the salesman and I had agreed upon. Assuming they believed I wanted it enough to overlook this slide of hand? Its dishonest business practices and I hope this review will help save another person considering this dealership as a reputable business, as they have proven its not and should be not be considered when looking to purchase a vehicle. An already incredibly stressful car buying experience compounded by dishonesty is a situation Im hoping to help you avoid. My fault, I should have checked they were BBB accredited first. Poor experience with Gladstone Mitsubishi. I purchased a used ******** ************ 2014 in May of this year. The car was advertised as including a stereo system in pictures, which ended up not being included and they refused to adjust pricing.All of this aside- my main concern is that the back door would not open upon purchase. I shared the issue ( and a few other concerns) with my sales assistant and was told to bring it in so that the repairs could be made- awesome. Upon brining the car in I was told that they would cover at least 1/2 of the cost for the door. After sharing my safety concerns with being unable to open the door in the case of an emergency, I was told they would get back to me with their covering the repair in full and that he was searching for used doors for them to make the repair with. I have reached out several times and was now after a month told that they will not repair the door. Apparently having four working doors is too much to ask, and being able to open a door in the case of a crash or fire is not necessary. Poor service all around. Very disappointed in my experience here.Review from David W

Extremely fed up with the weekly outreach mail trying to get me to finance a loan with gladstone Mitsubishi post bankruptcy. I've had the basic invitations, the "confidential don't tamper" looks like a w2 type mail, and now I'm receiving handwritten letters without a return address, with a post it note inside that says my name and to PLEASE give me a call. .I truly don't understand why this business does this, as I was able to reaffirm my vehicle debt and continue paying off my primary vehicle. I have no need for your loan services or whatever you may believe would help me rebuild my credit. I can do just fine with a used car and no overpriced car loan. There are plenty of reviews that share my experience and most of them cannot even find a way to get off the mailing list. This should not be something you pursue to a point that you write post it notes inside confidential mail to get a response.Review from Daniel R

BUYER BEWARE!! I do NOT recommend Gladstone Mitsubishi and if you buy from there I do NOT recommend *************************** as a sells person. He is terrible, rude, and disrespectful (and before the dealership or ******* try to add a rebuttal - after he was rude and disrespectful I gave him a piece of my mind and colorfully told him he was the most worthless pos salesman I have ever dealt with at which point I would not deal with him anymore)!! These people have no clue what they are doing and have no problems being rude to buyers and will not take responsibility for their mistakes. The manager kept saying they were a new company and to have patience. My son purchased this car from Gladstone Mitsubishi and paid for the car and shipping in full. Car was shipped more than a week ago but they dropped the ball and never ship the title. When the salesman was contacted to get information he was rude and kept cutting me off and wouldnt let me even finish my questions. He said it wasnt his job and that the title manager was in charge of the title. When I asked him to hand me over to the title manager he refused. The car is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and the title has yet to be sent. They still have it in their possession. After speaking to the manager they planned to ship the title directly to a local DMV instead of the buyer! Now the car is going to arrive and no way of getting tags for several days. They also refused to provide a 30 day tag due to THEIR mistake and when requested a bill of sell they refused again and sent a buyers settlement. I guess the car is supposed to be a lawn ornament in the front yard. I would NOT recommend the dealership as they have no clue what they are doing and dont care if they do their jobs or not.Review from Madhavi P

Very poor and rude customer service by this location service manager, ********** took my car to this place several times since he is a manger once They told me it would need a new battery, So I purchased one, Then I was still having the problem that my car won't start in the morning or when it's not been in use. when I called them, I was told oh you need a new Alternator, I paid several thousands of dollars in changing what I was told and more stuff were done on the car. The car would stop running after sitting for several hours or in the morning. it won't start. when I called and I was asked to bring my car back to them, then I was told oh nothing is wrong with your car after I told them that I am refusing to pay diagnostic fee because you have changed so many things and the problem is not been fixed. **** came to me and said oh we didn't find anything wrong in the diagnostic test but you have a steering wheel leak somewhere and I said okay so I took my car and had it looked by someone else because **** was charging me $850 for it . This was not the actual problem in the car. I this week and talked to ***** and he scheduled for me to bring the car in. Then **** came out the office and said that we will charge you $165 an hour and then $250an hour and it will go up it could be $1000. I told him that I was told to pay $165 flat rate for diagnostic. He said that I am not going to serve you because you file a report against us to BBB. And said that I am refusing to serve you when I said let me record this , he said i am not giving you right to record, and if you don't leave I will take a warrant against you. Well he was very rude, no name badge. unprofessionally dressed didn't look like a manger. He targets females and treats them. like we are weak. I recommend. Females to be careful when you are around this man, **** at Mistubishi in Gladstone, avoid this place just bacause of him. I would like to be contacted by BBB.Gladstone Mitsubishi Response

This customer has previously submitted a similar unfounded complaint against our company and we responded including copies of all of the service history and various attempts that were made to help this customer. We feel this customers expectations are unrealistic and we feel we have made every effort to serve this customer. The customer recently returned with more unfounded accusations and we feel this customer would be better served elsewhere. Here is our response to the original complaint filed by this customer:After reviewing the complaint and investigating with the staff involved, I have surmised the following:The customer lodging the complaint, *******************************, mentioned that she has had her vehicle in several times and that we tell her different concerns that cost her money each time. This is due to different components of her vehicle failing at those times. I am attaching her entire service history with us for your review. You will be able to see that she has had battery and alternator replaced at different times in the vehicles past.On 07/27/2020 RO#******* The battery was replaced.On 09/07/2021 RO#******* the alternator replaced.On 09/09/2021 RO#******* the concern was that the car keeps running after it is shut down. It was found that the cooling fan was still running and not the engine, and that is normal when the vehicle has reached operating temp. No charge was extended to the customer.On 11/01/2021 RO#******* in which the concern is that the vehicle will die after running for 15 minutes. We were unable to duplicate the concern and when I (*****, the Service Manager) spoke with her, she explained that the power would turn off when she had left her brother in the vehicle when she went into the store, and he was listening to the radio with the engine off. We performed more attempts to verify the concern and were not able to duplicate it. When I asked for further information in attempting to duplicate it, she said that the vehicle was running when he was listening to the radio this time, but still unable to duplicate it. I included our test results for the batterys tested rate as well as what the rate is that it came with new. You can see that I did not charge her for the technicians time for the testing carried out this time either.Lastly, on 11/23/2021 RO#******* with a concern of a fuel smell and asking for an inspection. Upon inspection we found no fuel leaks, however we did re-note the power steering leak.With each vehicle that come into our shop, we perform a Multi-Point-Inspection (MPI), in which we found the high pressure power steering line was leaking. This same recommendation was made back on RO#******* 07/27/2020 as well but not repaired. As any shops standard operating procedures, we remind or notify customers of our findings in hope that they will use us to perform the repairs.The claims that we find something different each time and charge her for it, are false. We extended complimentary service to her on multiple visits and notified her of the concerns found or not found, which is our job. We did not have any re-repairs or attempt to charge her for work not done. It is unfortunate that she feels dissatisfied with our service as we have tried to extend help and support for her, and her aging vehicle, each time she brings it to our facility. Was dealing with a bankruptcy and several other situations at the time and Gladstone reached out to me several times. I was in need of a vehicle so I pursued it. The interest rate for my situation wasnt horrible so I went with it. Two weeks later a company approached me from an inquiry I had sent them at the start of my bankruptcy and they wanted to refinance my vehicle. The refinance company is one that I trust and was going to use prior to Gladstone I just rushed the situation. Shortly after going into the deal I was informed that the vehicle I had purchased from Gladstone was marked up by over 10k and that I would likely never be able to refinance the vehicle. I had several conversations and spoke on my concerns prior to purchasing the vehicle and was told after a year I would be able to refinance assuming I made my payments directly. Since I signed that contract Gladstone has stonewalled me and are refusing contact. This is a predatory company beware.
