Very ********************* Experience and Peak Season Price Gouging.I used to have great respect for this company and their customer service, which I found to be honest and reliable. Unfortunately, my recent experience with their AC repair services left me frustrated and misled. The story begins several years ago. During a visit to address an issue with my air conditioning unit, they informed me that my system had a small leak and had lost approximately 15% of its refrigerant (410A) over the last two years. They claimed that, according to *** regulations, they were required to repair the system. They then identified the leak in the evaporator coil and provided a quote of $5,000 for the repair, even though I found the same part online for $600. When I brought this up, they insisted that additional materials, labor, and refrigerant were necessary to justify the cost and refused to just add some refrigerant. Even after I went to their office to sit down with the service manager to explain things, they refused to just ********* make matters worse, I later discovered their claim about the *** repair requirement was false. The *** only mandates repairs for ************ containing more than 50 pounds of refrigerant, which doesnt apply to typical home systems. Despite this, I decided to give them another chance about a year later. After discussing the *** rule with a manager, they agreed to recharge my system instead of pushing for the $5,000 repair. However, they then quoted me over $1,000 just to add 1 pound of refrigerant, which seemed excessive. I turned them down and found another provider who completed the job for $110.This experience occurred during the peak of AC season, and I felt compelled to share my story. I cant help but think of how a retired person on a fixed income might have struggled in my situation. Its truly disappointing to see a once-great company take advantage of customers in this way. Shame on them.

This company sucks! I scheduled a appt for August 12th. I waited 10 hours and no one ever showed up. I called at 2pm and they told me I was still on the schedule for today. Then I called at 6pm because no one called or showed up and they said I think you are on the schedule for the 22nd. They don't know what they are doing and you can't get a straight answer from anyone. I should bill them for my 10 hours of waiting for service. If you can't run a better service you should not be in business.

I have used ******** services for two or three years and have generally been satisfied although I felt their prices were too high. However in March of this year I asked for an electrician to come out and take a look at a bathroom light that was not working properly. A technician named **** came out looked at the breaker in the bathroom and then checked the outside electrical box where service comes into the house. He did something with the outside box and then reset the bathroom light. What I had thought would be a $99 service fee resulted in a $600 charge. I was not informed that the work that was done which took less than an hour would cost $600. As far as I could tell very little work was done. When I called to check about the invoice I was told that the charge was for troubleshooting which was minimal and involved checking the junction box outside the house. I also was told that I was paying for materials, but no materials were used. When I asked what kinds of materials would cost $600, I was told electrical materials. Then I was told that electricians are like doctors. If you go into the office for a checkup, even if it seems mine or, you can walk out owing thousands of dollars. I don't know of any doctor Who Would charge thousands of dollars without informing the patient about exactly what costs were for. This company cannot tell me what work was done and cannot tell me what the charges were actually for. I have been promised a return call from the manager in the electrical division for 2 days, but no one has called. I believe the charges were fraudulent and I encourage people to look elsewhere for their service.Further, when I had my annual inspection, the plumber told me that the bathroom drain ran slowly. And that it should be snaked out. I asked how much that would cost and was astonished that it was hundreds of dollars. I cleaned it out myself with a mini snake which cost less than $10 at ***********

I love this company. Every thing is great now. Thanks to all the professional installers that came and also ********************** for a great presentation. My ducted heat pump and furnace were toast. Way old. I knew before they came out to look at it. I decided to get a ductless system which was recommended by friends and Wolfers. Wolfers came up a few times and I actually found an old business card. Long story short I'm happy as a clam. 6 hours after coming here I have heat and A/C and works awesome. Thanks

On April 16th, 2024, Wolfers service technician performed a bi-annual maintenance of our furnace and air conditioning unit at our home address in ************. As a result of this service, their technician deemed the furnace as unsafe, red tagged the furnace and shut off the gas. We immediately received a quote of $1,259.82 to repair the Air Conditioning Unit and a quote of $6,513.78 to repair the furnace. We then subsequently received quotes for a complete replacement of the furnace ranging between $13,140 and $14,521.Since we currently live outside of the US, we notified our property manager who then provided our tenants temporarily with room heaters. We then provided our property manager the test results from Wolfers and asked them to have one of their suppliers provide a 2nd quote for the repairs. Since their supplier was not able to make sense of the test results that Wolfers provided, he completed a 2nd maintenance service on April 17th, 2024. Their supplier reported no cracks in the heat exchanger, determined that the furnace is working as designed, stated that there is no repair or replacement required and turned the furnace back on.On April 18th, I have requested that Wolfers Management consider my email summarizing the information above as a formal and immediate termination of my maintenance contract and expressed that I am evaluating next steps against Wolfers and will be seeking reimbursement and compensation to be outlined at a later point. To this date they have not acknowledged the receipt of my email.

2/27/24 No water in spa shower, but I heard water running next to the garage water heater, no visible water anywhere. **** arrived on time with his own blue booties putting them to protect my white carpet! He reinstalled the shower handle, no water success. He heard the water noise next to my garage water heater. With tremendous efficiency and skill, turned off the main and the noise stopped. The sprinkler system solenoid was not closed. My issues resolved with blinding speed! **** is a well-trained kind gentleman with a thoughtful spirit that he incorporates in his iron-clad work ethics. These are big words in todays world! He brought his A-game executing an occupation he does to perfection. His impeccable gold standard serves as an excellent example to inspire his co-workers to also take enormous pride in their careers. I will recommend Wolfers Home Services to my inner circle and my colleagues with enthusiasm!

I was in a desperate situation and they really soaked me. $600 for a 1/4" shut off install on a refrigerator water line. A $12 part. I contacted them to express buyer's remorse and of course they did not get back to me.

Good Morning *************  Thank you for expressing your concerns.  As I look in our system, I am not seeing any additional incoming phone calls from your mobile phone into our call center, as all calls are digitally tracked and recorded.  Because of this, I have not  been able to ascertain yet what may have happened to cause the instance that you noted of us not getting back to you.  We take very seriously any customer that has concerns about any experience from our team, and we are always here to help.  We will make sure to have a manager reach out.  Additionally, I can say that our pricing is flat rate pricing, is always offered up front, and that we work to make sure that pricing is fair and in alignment with standard pricing in the market.  We will never be the cheapest company, but the reason for this is that we offer the absolute best guarantees and warrantees in the market, and we retain the absolute best and most talented plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians.  That said, we will ask our plumbing manager to reach out to you directly to give you an opportunity to express your concerns, and if we need to resolve we will absolutely work for a quick resolution for you.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They are scammers. Here's what happened: My 9 year old furnace went out. I paid a $99 diagnostic fee for the technician to come out and inspect my furnace. The service tech (**********...I don't remember his name) said I needed a control board, capacitor, and blower motor. He said the control board was burnt, the blower motor was locked up and there were signs of a leak inside the motor and the capacitor did not pass manufacturer specifications. Total quote to replace them?...a whopping $3012. Oooor, I could replace the whole system, which would be way more. I asked him how much the parts will cost and how much the labor charge will be. He said he didn't know the breakdown. He also said it would probably take a little over an hour to replace the parts. Pictures and an estimate were then emailed to me. They did not list how much the parts cost in relation to labor charges. The price seemed outrageous, so I looked up the model number of my unit and found the parts. For all three parts it came to $249.00. So, they wanted to charge me $2763 for a little over an hour's worth of work?!? I ordered the parts from Supplyhouse and they next-day air'd the parts to me. A general contractor friend came over and replaced the control board, which was indeed fried. The motor was not locked up and was functioning properly, as was the capacitor. Side note, the contractor said there is nothing that will leak inside a blower motor. So, the Wolfer's tech claimed two parts were broken, when they were not AND was going to charge $2763 for about an hour's worth of work. I ended up paying $77.86 for the control board and $160.00 to the general contractor. I will never deal with Wolfer's again. They are not a trustworthy company!

Customers Please! Beware,I am a Snowbird who returned from ******* to a cold home. The heater would not come on, so I called Wolfers HVAC to fix it after spending a cold night. The repairman was very prompt and immediately took the furnace apart. I know enough amount about furnaces to see he was not addressing the problem, which was an ignition issue. He uses his little scope to see the inside of the gas chamber and shows me what looks like a crack in the chamber. In my opinion, it appeared to be a casting seam. He did not address the ignition problem but quickly condemned the furnace by red-tagging everything with his red pen. More cold weather and the furnace needs to be replaced. I consulted a repairman I used in ******* with over 45 years of experience. He diagnosed both issues over the phone. 1) The ignitor is broken and needs to be replaced. 2) Using one of those tricks of the trade, he diagnosed that the chamber is NOT I repeat NOT cracked. I cannot believe what I am hearing. Are you saying that the repairman deliberately declared the heater unusable? Looks like it. What a deal! Wolfers can condemn and deactivate your furnace to improve their revenue stream ($5,000 to $10,000) and charge me $100.00 to gild the ***** It sounds like Wolfers is watching the henhouse. Please be careful and avoid Wolfers at all costs.Sincerely, Rich

We had an appointment for 10:00 today no show at 10:30. My husband texted them and the reply we will get back to you shortly. I called them at 11:00 and was told there was a glitch in the system and push the date to next Friday. Do you think they should have a better scheduling system? Do you think just in case a computer crash they would have a scheduling book just in case. She was going to reschedule at 12:30 and I had her make sure that it would happen so she called the service tech and come to find out there was an accident in ******* and would not be able to make it. She wanted to reschedule and I told her no a company that does not confirm an appointment or doesn't know that we had an appointment I do not want to do business with. I can't give them any star rating except that they are not a 5 star rating.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the challenged experience you are describing.  Our scheduling system is modern and sophisticated with multiple redundant backups, but the human element is still involved and I suspect that it came into play here with your experience.  Your name is not tied to this review so we don't have a way of looking up your experience and tracking what happened.  We would love to be able to connect with you so we can track what happened and apply any necessary coaching and changes so we can ensure that this doesn't happen again.  We would like to offer you a complementary service visit if you still need work done on your system, please call in and ask for ********************** who can help you.  Thank you!
