I have NEVER been treated as poorly as myself age 42, mom age 70 & aunt age 67 were treated by hotel. We were looking forward to a wonderful holiday but that was crushed. My aunt booked a 2-bed suite in Feb 2024 for Dec 5-7, 2024 & secured a deposit of $745.80. A week before she called to confirm & was told they didnt have her booked that week, they had her for Dec *****. After much ************* they said they would accommodate her but w/a smaller room w/1 bed and a pull-out sofa. They did not refund the difference this. We drove 3.5 hours from MD to ** & were not greeted kindly by the man at the desk. He never smiled, scowled the entire time, then told us he could not find our reservation! My aunt shows him her phone w/the confirmation. He took her phone, came back a few minutes later stating our room was ready. No apology, no smile. We had lots of bags & were promised a bell-hop, he was no where to be found. I battled 50mph winds by myself up & down 3 flights of dangerous stairs from the parking garage & up a hill to get the bags inside. After dinner at The Terrace & returning to our room we get a knock at the door. Its security accusing us of smoking. We told them no, we were not, we were getting ready for bed. They accused us of an odor coming from our room. We didnt smell anything. The next morning we went out, 20 minutes upon returning, a knock on the door again accusing us of smoking, which WAS NOT HAPPENING! We sat in shock, not feeling comfortable/welcome. Then another knock from head of house-keeping. We invited her in so she could look see there was no smoking happening. She was rude & yelled at us like children instead of grown adults. Feeling unwelcome we decided to pack & leave a day early. 2 weddings & other events were happening, I feel targeted & shoved out to accommodate wedding guests. She was promised a full refund but we have yet to see it. The grand total not reimbursed is $921.80 w/taxes & fees. We have never been so humiliated.
