    On July 6, 2022, I had a procedure done. I paid $350.98 out of pocket to satisfy my deductible. The physician sent in explanation of benefits to *********** I should have only paid $179.98 out of pocket. I am owed a refund of $171. The physician office has yet to return my numerous calls. I began calling on August 9th. I keep being told I will be directed to the billing department. I left 3 voice mails. No called back as of today. ********** has called as well and has had no luck getting my refund.

    I am responding to the letter dated on August 24, 2022. In regards to the patients complaint he was asked to pay an out of pocket expense (deductible). At the time of service, which was July 6, 2022, his deductible was showing $350.98 not met. I did receive an email from the patient and spoke with him about this. He understood and was aware that I had to wait until I received his explanation of benefits and payment for this date of service. He is stating that his deductible was met with other healthcare services he had prior to this date. I understood and explained that after I receive payments from his insurance carrier I will follow up with him. He was satisfied with my response.

    After receiving payments and his EOB's the patient was due a refund of $171.00. I spoke with the patient today and a check will be mailed to him. He was satisfied with the result.
