  Consumer Beware!! Ford Office Technologies 700 Laurel Drive Connellsville Unethical to the core! This is my recent experience having made the huge mistake of taking my MacBook to Ford for some tech help. All I wanted from the Ford tech was to convert a Tiff to a word document. This would allow me the opportunity to make any needed changes. I was told by the tech that the charge per hour would be $99/ hour. This was more than expected, but I gave the ok to make the conversion. I had no idea that it would take 5.4 hours to make the conversion. When I received my invoice, it was for $728.75. I could not believe my eyes! . Unbelievable! To make matters worse I was billed at $125/ hour, not the $99/ hour, which was my initial quote. I thought that the conversion would have taken no more than a couple of hours. Ford does a huge disservice to all their clients by not having the common decency to let them know that the cost of service will be substantially higher than might be expected. To make matters worse, when I asked the office manager if I could sit down with my tech who did my conversion, so he could explain to me what work he had done, I was told flat out, that I would be charged for any additional time with my tech. What a crock, after being charged $728.75. It would be no different than having your vehicle repaired, and then be charged an additional fee to talk with the mechanic who worked on your vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous!! But this is the way FORD conducts business. So, please be fore- warned that you may be ripped off by these “fine” people! I was charged $728, then $577. And the conversion from a Tiff file to word, does not even work. I must continue to use my original Tiff file.

  We have attached all support documents related to this complaint.  We were very upfront with customer on our price of $99/hour.  We did originally send out an invoice with our standard hourly rate created by our ERP, but we voided and reissued at the correct rate.  We do not wish to upload the final product that we sent to the customer, however, it is in a useable word format that he would be able to make changes to which is what his request was.  We are willing to work with the customer to resolve any issues that he has as our intent is to deliver exceptional service that has meaningful impact to allow our customers to focus on what they do best.  We did not reject his request to meet with our technician he had an appointment set and then came down with Covid.
