Dear *** at Garage Floors in a Day,I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the work completed by Garage Floors in a Day on my property. The project, which was quoted in March 2024 and completed in June 2024, included work on the walkway, porch area, stairs, and brick repointing/repair. Unfortunately, several aspects of the job were not completed to an acceptable standard.1.Stairs and Brickwork: The stairs and brick repointing were done incorrectly. Instead of using proper mortar for the repointing as originally agreed, a mortar caulk was used, which significantly deviated from the initial plan. The finished steps are poorly executed, and the quality is visibly substandard, as shown in the photos of the job.2.Surface Quality: Multiple areas on the walkway and porch still require touch-*** and corrections..3.Communication Issues: There was a noticeable lack of clear communication throughout the project, especially between the on-site team and myself. I contacted the owner, ***, regarding the issues with the brickwork, and he acknowledged the mistake.4.Unresolved Refund and Repairs: *** agreed to refund the cost of the steps due to the poor workmanship; however, I have not yet received this refund. Furthermore, the necessary repairs to the other areas have not been addressed, and no one from the company has returned to complete the ******* this point, I am still awaiting both the refund for the steps and the resolution of the outstanding repairs. I strongly advise others to refrain from paying the full amount until they are completely satisfied with the work.I would appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter.

I was told that my new epoxy floor would not get hot tire pickup on it & that the floor would not be slippery. Well, this company lied to me the floors are so slippery when wet I fell & broke my cell phone. Also, there are brown hot tire pickup marks all over my new epoxy floors. These floors are awful I hate *********** are dangerous.

In late June of 2023 Garage Floors in a Day performed a floor coating service on my single car garage. I was real happy with the results. However, in May of 2024, I noticed a small section of the floor coating has been pulled off (approx 4-5 inch circular shape). I do not know what caused it but it was not due to any negligence on my part. Given that the defect took place in less than a year I am assuming that a section of the floor wasn't sealed properly. I followed the company's warranty policy by calling to notify them of the problem followed up by an email to them along with pictures of the defect. Per their policy I was supposed to have been contacted back within 45 days of notifying them of the problem. Since then I have made several efforts to contact the business with no success. Only once did I manage to talk to someone who said they would call me back. I never received a call back. Subsequent to that, phone messages I left have been ignored. I even attempted to schedule a warranty/repair visit on the company's website in early June which was also ignored. It's clear to me that this business has no intent to honor it's warranty policy. I would have been understanding if someone came out and told me that the damage isn't something they would cover but to completely ignore someone who followed their own policy is disheartening. I spent nearly $2,900 and expected better customer service, especially given that the defect took place within the first year of a 15 year warranty period.

I had Garage Floors In A Day company come give me a quote and from the start made it very clear - I wanted coating on my garage floor to accomplish two things: to change the angle of the floor so that water would stop pooling along the edges of the garage, and also to make the floor less slippery. The product for coating residential surfaces is sold as slip-resistant, per their website - and I was assured over and over again that it was a non-slip surface. I was assured by the owner that they could in fact change the angle of the floor, and we could accomplish what I was hiring them to do. They did the job in Jan. 2023, and were paid in full. Over the next few weeks, it was clear that their work changed absolutely nothing about the water pooling in undesirable spots in the garage; in fact, their crew built up the material around the drain in the middle of the floor, so in fact they made it worse by making it even harder for water to get to the drain. Further, within the 10 months that we kept the garage floor with their coating, I had 4 separate people slip on the floor, including myself. No injuries were serious, thankfully, but I scraped my knee and my 6 year old son got a big bruise on his knee. Over this time span, I could not get in touch with the owner except for here and there every few months - he would not answer, not return calls, etc. He did finally hear all my concerns, and my request for not all, but simply 1/2 of my money back due to severe dissatisfaction with their product. He told me repeatedly that he would submit a claim to his own insurance company, and they would contact me with next-steps. After numerous follow-ups with him, I give up - nobody has ever contacted me, and the owner has stopped reply to any texts or calls of mine. For safety reasons, we ended up hiring a concrete firm to fully jackhammer and remove the garage floor, and pour it with new concrete - the Garage Floors In A Day coating was simply too unsafe.

I contacted Garage Floors In A Day in June 2022. I spoke with the owner Tom L******* to discuss 2 cracks on my concrete patio that I needed to get repaired. Mr L******* scheduled an appointment to look at the patio on June 24,2022. Mr L******* did not show up but he did send a salesman out to give me an estimate for the repair. The salesman arrived and informed me that Garage Floors In A Day could fill the cracks, sand the patio to remove old dirt build-up and then resurface the concrete for $6000.00 and would require a deposit that Dayton be put on the schedule. The crew arrived July 13,2022 and completed the job that day. On July 27,2022 the 2 cracks re-appeared! I immediately took pictures and sent them to Mr L*******. Mr L******* had no idea why the product would pull away from the cracks. A crew was sent out to repair the same 2 cracks. The same 2 cracks continued to re-appear over and over again. Mr L******* still had “no idea” why the product continues to pull away from the same 2 cracks. June 1,2023 the crew once again came to “repair” the 2 cracks. June 2, 2023 the same 2 cracks re-appear EXCEPT this time there is a light yellow powdery substance oozing out of the cracks. I couldn’t believe it, I immediately took pictures and sent them to Mr L*******. He blamed the concrete. He told me the patio needed an expansion joint installed due to “concrete movement” he then defined what concrete movement means. I reminded Mr L******* there are no other cracks in the patio except for the 2 that you were hired to repair. I requested a refund/partial refund of my money and he became very angry. The light yellow substance has since been identified as SPRAY FOAM INSULATION. I will take all legal avenues necessary to get my money back. I also filed a complaint with the AG Office,Bureau of consumer complaints.. I encourage everyone out there that have received poor workmanship from this business to take action against them. If you spent less than $12,000.00, GO TO THE MAGISTRATE’S OFFICE to file a complaint. Please Do Not use This Business!!! Tom L******* lies, never shows up when he saids he will, the crew leaves a MESS and shrugs their shoulders when you question them about the clean up. I have NUMEROUS before and after pictures of the job they did, text messages from Tom L******* stating he doesn’t know what’s going on.

I have a customer complaint regarding Mr. Tom L*******, owner of Garage Floors in a Day. He
is unscrupulous, a liar, and a scam artist. His company did a resurfacing of the concrete
walkway around my outdoor swimming pool last fall. The work crew did not have the proper
tools and stripped the threads on all the brass anchors that fastened the winter pool cover in
place. As a result I experienced $460 of extra cost when my pool contractor came to close the
pool (additional labor cost to remove the anchors and the cost of new anchors). The owner Tom
L******* agreed finally to reimburse me for my costs but never did after many promises and
numerous calls. For several months now he won't return my calls and obviously has no intention
of paying! It is the principle of this matter and not the money amount. I would discourage anyone
from doing business with this unscrupulous individual. In talking with a past sales manager of
his (S******) I understand he has a long reputation of scamming customers with false promises

I requested Floors in a day to look at my steps on 6/2/2022, to see if they would be available to complete the job, they assured me they could. I was asked at that time for a deposit of $200, and advised they would start the project in two weeks. I waited for three weeks and I didn't hear from them, at that time I contacted the owner and was advised that they were busy and he couldn't tell me when they could start work on the project. I asked the owner to refund my deposit at that time. When my wife called the company and spoke to the owner she was told he only writes checks Friday's and the next week I received a check for $120. I called the company spoke to the owner and was told that he only writes checks on Wednesday's and would send the remaining refund of $80. I've called numerous times requesting the remaining refund of $80, and I'm advised the check will be sent, however it's been three months and I have not received the remaining refund to date.

I had my porch done by GFID in August of 2021 at a cost of about $4000.00. One of their selling points was their 15 year " No Hassle Guarantee ". I was extremely pleased with the results when it was finished. However, when I returned from a week long vacation on November 28th, I discovered that a section of my porch was cracked and lifted. This was not even 15 weeks into their 15 year warranty. I called them on November 29th, and also sent pictures of the damage, as they requested. Since then, I have been repeatedly given the runaround: " We'll get back to you ", " Our expert is on vacation ", "We'll stop by at the end of the month ", etc, etc, etc. My last contact with them was on April 5th, when I was asked once again to send pictures, which I did. I was told they would call me back, WHICH THEY DIDN'T. It is now over a month since that last contact, and almost 6 months since my original complaint!

Date of transaction- Business came to my home to quote job 09/17/2021,I accepted quote and paid $800 deposit. Total cost of work was $7606.00. Business was to grind down cement in a 2 car garage and rear porch patio, repair cracking cement and install new floor coating. Work was scheduled to be started early spring 2022. Work started 03/02/2022 and was completed in one day, business owner was present the last few hours and was waiting around for final payment of $6806.00 which i paid without checking job because floor could not be walked on for 24 hours. When i was able to check job there was many issue with the quality of the work in both work areas, called business and meet with owner on 03/04/22 to view job, he agreed that there were work issues and would sent out crew to repair/ redo floor surface, crew did come out a few days later to do the repair but the work that was done is not acceptable to me, called owner back to show him the work and he told me that the floor would require time (25-30 days) to 'blend in', well that time has come and gone and there's no blending in taking place and i'm stuck with a permanent coating on my garage and porch floor that is a eyesore. I call the business several times a week and don't receive a call back. I spent 32 years as a tradesmen in the construction industry and know the difference between a good quality job and a crap job that was done to my property, i want to meet with the owner and show him the rework that he claims will need time to blend together, but to me, it's an excuse for me to go away. All i want is what the salesperson promised, a floor surface without cracks with a beautiful finish, on my floors i can see where some of the cracks were, and i certainly don't have the beautiful finish. The business needs to redo my job and make it right
