We ordered 2 8 ft. sliding glass patio doors. On April 15, 2024 installers arrived with one set of 8 ft. doors and one set of 6 ft. doors. They recognized the error and immediately called the office so that the order could be corrected. Someone said a mistake must have been made at the office.Installation is usually scheduled within 12 to -14 weeks so when we called to check on the order we were told that the re-order was not done until July 1. In addition, the representative we talked to refused to admit that the company made any mistakes and we would just have to accept a 16 week delivery time with installation to be scheduled later. The person we spoke with was rude, condescending and completely uncooperative. No offer was made to alleviate this situation.We would advise anyone thinking of using this company to reads this and realize that they are completely unreliable in refusing to honor their obligations.

Friday January 19th 2024 a very knowledgeable and kind crew member came to repair the new windows I had installed in August 2023. There was so much air coming threw the windows when the wind blew. The crew leader found the problem and took care of it right away. I am very pleased with the quick service that was provide to me in my time of need.

Terrible. If ****** in customer service answers just hang up and call until you dont get her. She is not at all empathetic and tells you to calm down and when you spend a large amount of money and the house is left a disaster and it takes months to be fixed I have a right to be upset. All 24 sashes needed replaced because of scratches. The9k front door is still needing fixed and I am repainting my house because the installers made such a mess around my windows it is just easier to paint. It has been almost 5 months since install and I am still not done with getting my house fixed or other issues resolved. Installers damaged my stair noses and I paid to have them fixed. Instead of mailing me a check they sent it to the loan place and I have no balance on the loan so I had to contact the loan place to get a check issued to me. Incompetent all the way around. Poor ***** is left to fix all the messes the installers left. He is the only positive to this. **************** is awful and condescending.Universal Windows Direct of Pittsburgh Response

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Three of the windows that were installed last year have been collecting significant amounts of moisture. We took pictures and called the company immediately. They sent someone out three times until they finally agreed to replace the three windows. The day the windows were scheduled to be installed, my husband took off work only to learn that the wrong order was brought to our house. Since then, we have reached out weekly to the company only to be told that someone will call us back and no one ever has. This company is unprofessional and unresponsive and I would not recommend using them.Universal Windows Direct of Pittsburgh Response

Great experience learning about their high quality windows and how the price of replacing windows could easily be offset by saving on our high energy bills. Sales rep worked diligently to get us a great price and was very knowledgeable and friendly. No pressure tactics - just lots of good info to help us make an informed decision.
