I have a working Asus G75 gaming laptop began heating up/shutting down. I suspected the cooling fans and saw an ad in the Erie Phone book for Johnson Computer Repair and its discount for Veterans. Agreed they would pick it up, open it up clean the fans and then contact me. Mr Johnson arrived, took the laptop, power cord, and the mouse plug but left the mouse with me on 9/6 and asked if had a password or it would hurt my games if he logged in to make sure it was working and I said no problem. I know he accessed the game cause I got a game notification it was being logged into while i was playing and booted me. I asked would he need a few days or the weekend he told me "no you will have it back before that" Later that evening i received the call and was told it did indeed need cleaning and he would remove the fans to clean them then test it booted up again and return it to me. Ever since that date whenever i call to check the status i get the voice mail & leave a message which never gets returned or if he pick up i get stalled saying he is still working on it and will call back later but never did. It has now been over 2 weeks, approaching 3. Other repair shops all told me the same thing that it sounded like something was wrong and he was unwilling to inform me, get the computer and bring it to them and they would order the fans then replace them and i would have it back within a few days. I called Mr Johnson and finally left a message I wanted the laptop back, no reply. When we finally spoke on the phone on 9/13 he told me the laptop was completely apart and he needed to run power before he reassembled on 9/15 and call me to back, no reply. Called and went to the location on Mon demanded the computer he said no its disassembled he would test power in a few days and call me asked to see the laptop was told no. No word so i called and returned Wed 20th demanded the laptop was told no, returned today 9/22 Told no he would stop with laptop or a loaner by 10 pm. I said preferred mine. and if he did not return it I would call BBB. Finally after midnight he came with a loaner when i asked why not mine he said it i completely apart, & rebuilding it. He never asked I never approved! I need my laptop back so I can take to a computer repair and see what he did to break it. I just want my laptop back Help please.
