We had a kitchen and living room remodel done by Braendel Services in Dec 2018. We called them back in 2019 about a crack in the ceiling from where they removed a wall, I took them a very long time with several calls to come out and look at it, they tried to repaint it, but there is still a crack the entire line of the ceiling where the wall used to be. Dennis Braendel told us to call with any concerns at all. We have been calling about every 3 weeks for the past year and a half, the secretary keeps saying Ron the project manager will call us but her never does. I have recently texted Dennis and still no return call. This crack in our ceiling is from the wall removal that they did and we just want it fixed. We paid $52,000.00 and expect it to be done correctly.

Please see the attached letter and accompanying pictures (in separate emails) as proof that the complaint filed for a renovation completed in 2018 was resolved on September 14, 2022.
Please confirm receipt, and let me know if I need to do anything further on the website to ensure that the complaint is removed.
    Thank you,

I did not get to write the reason in why I rejected.
I do not accept that the job is done. You can see the screws in the ceiling where Ben braced it and the patch work does not match. Ben said the only way to fix it right is to redo the entire ceiling. I said I want that done. He said he would talk to Dennis and for me to call him, but Dennis does not return my calls. So at this point the entire ceiling will need refinished with the swirls now that it is braced correctly.

After our job was completed, the customer had her roof replaced.  The crack in the ceiling was a result of these roofers walking on it.  Despite this fact, we intend to do the complete ceiling as requested.  Our schedule will not allow this to be completed until November or December.  I do, however, take issue with customers who attempt to hire our employees to do work for them on the side, which is what this particular customer tried to do.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

You can still see where the wall was removed in the ceiling and now you can see the screw holes where it was braced. Ben said to match and do it correctly the entire ceiling would need re swirled. With that being said the entire ceiling will need re plastered with the swirls.

As previously stated, we intend to do the entire ceiling; however, given the scope of the job, we are unable to fit it into our schedule until November or December.

This is the 2nd complaint with the BBB. They informed BBB that they would contact us to fix the damage in Nov-Dec and we have heard nothing from Dennis Braendel, I have even texted him with no response on Dec 10, 2022. The previous complaint was closed and I am not sure why because they work had not been done.

We have been super busy wrapping up our regularly scheduled jobs for the holidays.  I apologize, but this will not happen until January.  We will contact the customer at that time.  Thank you.
