    On 11/19/2022 Aj M***** has illegally changed locks on apartment unit where myself and minor child lived. There were no proceedings for evictions or any notice. Weather temperature currently are in the 20's. My child has no access to her prescribed medications that are locked in apartment, cash, and private documents(social security and birth certificates. We ( myself and Legal services ) pleaded with landlord to allow retrieval of property. There was no response.

    I'm not sure because my personal documents were locked inside the apartment 10. So not sure how long my contract was for, but there was no legal process taken from Glassport Lanes to evict me as a tenant or my 5 year old child. I in addition there is invasion if privacy issues the picture I provided is right above my apartment door. At the owner's will, they can listen to 24 hour audio recordings of tentants in apartment 1 and 10. Extremely creepy. This audio and video camera was installed by land lord over a year ago.

    This is my response to a complaint filed by ****** *******.  I find this complaint very disturbing, due the fact I cut ****** my breaks regarding his timely rent payments and on many occasions he lied about who was living in this apartment and my several attempts to discuss what his plans were for moving out.  After several unanswered phone messages to his and texts, I saw him removing items from the apartment in the middle  of the night or early morning hours leading up to me putting new locks on his apartment.  I warned him I would be changing the locks with no reply from him.  I also tried reaching out to him asking a fellow tenant to call and help with getting his daughters clothing and items and ***** ****** got no reply from Mr. *******. 

     

    I left on vacation for Thanksgiving and left his apartment unlocked for his to get his belongings, but he failed to do so.  ***** ****** can verify this.

     

    Mr. ******* lived above Glassport Lanes for approximately 6 years and new the rules.  He new was a $25.00 charge for anyone moving in with him.  His rent was only $425.00 per month and I never raised his rent the whole time he lived there.  But he moved his father in 2 times and now his daughter and never informed me of the additional tenant’s.  He also new no animals were allowed and he brought in a cat for his daughter.  But when I first heard of the cat he said he was just temporarily watching it for a friend.  He knew no cats or dogs per his tenant agreement.  The cat stayed until I threatened to take it to the humane society.  The cat was all left all day while he worked peeing on the carpet.  It smelt so awful, he finally took it somewhere.

     

    He never informed me his gas was shut  for non payment in April of 2021.  He had gas heat, water and a gas stove.  No heat, no hot water and now gas to cook on the stove.  He should have been reported to child services with a 5 year to be living in such conditions. 

     

    As far as the cameras.  They were installed for the security of the tenant’s.  The are not audio cameras. 

    I cannot hear anything on these cameras.  Visual video pictures only.  ****** also batted each camera when leaving the building one day.  I have that on video and 1 camera needed replaced due to the damage he did.  

     

    I did not take Mr. ******* to the magistrate to evict him.  I should have taken him to the magistrate several times but he always worked out a payment plan in the past.  In hindsight I should have, he would have lost in court and it would have affected his credit.  My error. 

     

    I could name so many other concerns, but do not think he is worth my time.  He is gone and will do the same to the next landlord.  The pictures took after he moved out are horrendous.  How he even let his daughter live there is discusting.  The tenant mentioned previously offered to help him clean his apartment, but he did not think cleaning was necessary.  Mr. ******* is a very sneeky, dishonest man.  I hope he changes for his daughters sake.

     

    Mr. ******* also reported this to the attorney generals office in Pittsburgh and per the attorney general this case was closed.  The apartment needed to renovated with new flooring and appliances with how he left the apartment to get the dirt and smell out.
