  I signed a contract with Better Protect to install a walk-in shower, with a raised toilet and grab bars in my home. ***** limited mobility due to muscular dystrophy and accident from a car accident. The contract was signed in July 2023. This project is partially funded by the PA Catastrophic Catastrophic *********************** Better Protect received a check for over $8,000 to begin the project in August. They started the project in mid-September. The delay was to gather the necessary materials. The project was supposed to take 3 weeks. We added replacing the floor. We paid Better Protect $3,000 for this additional work. Work progressed slowly until mid-December, when it stopped. There are a number of problems with the work that's been done. We e-mailed these concerns to Beter Protect. Concerns include a rubber membrane that is 10" short of *** requirements, floor problems that cause puddles and a toilet that is installed in violation of code requirements. It's also not at the height I require. Better Protect has yet to install a glass panel that separates the walk-in shower from the rest of the bathroom. The only time we've had Better Protect here was when they brought a tub that proved to be incorrectly sized. In the process of stuffing into the space, they damaged the *********************** that were just installed. We included this damage on our list of items to address that we sent to Better Protect. Better Protect replied to our e-mail, indicating that they would address our concerns. Over the past two weeks, I did receive one more e-mail from Better Protect that they were tied up with another project. I replied, asking when we could expect them to work on our bathroom. Better has not replied as of this time. The bathroom was supposed to be completed mid-October, 2023. While the floor and a couple other minor request may have caused some delays, of, perhaps a week, It's now February 20. I've been sponge bathing for months. I simply want my bathroom work completed.
