Mr, W**** of Advance Fence Sytems collected a significant amount of money to install a Fence/Gate at my residence. Mr. W**** claimed he required a deposit to purchase materials to perform the installation. He was provide more than 50% to obtain materials to start the job. After 3 months Mr. W**** was unable to get the materials. He was requested to return all money provided to him. He said it would take another 60 days to return money owed. No money was ever returned. Currently Mr.W**** will not return any phone calls or texts regarding money owed. He works out of his house located @ ** ****** ****, Levittown, Pa ***** Please provide input on how to Mr W**** to return my money. Thank you.Initial Complaint

On April 12, 2021 my family gave this business half the money down for a new vinyl fence to be put in. It took them til December 13, 2021 to put the fence in when we were told it would only take 4-6 weeks. Whenever we asked the owner or his wife via email or phone they would always give an excuse if they even responded. They finally put the fence in and they put a post in incorrectly and our gate broke January 15th, 2022. We contacted them to come out sent photos of the gate and incorrect post owner said he would be out to adjust. No word until they randomly showed up March 11, 2022 while we were at work to look at the gate and post told us it would be $300 to fix. I contacted this business 6 times since then July 9, 2022 I sent them a message via their ****** chat I received a message back July 22, 2022 stating that they would be out that next week to fix our gate and the post. Its been almost a month since then and not one person has come out or contacted us back when I email or ****** chat them. This company has terrible communication, the owner and his wife were very rude when you do actually get in touch with them. Its a shame, I really liked the owner when he originally came out to give us a quote but it has been nothing but a headache and problems since.Initial Complaint

I contacted advanced fence systems in February of 2022 to install a new fence in my yard. After months of back and forth and no call no shows, along with requesting my deposit back and informing them that I was considering legal action to get it returned, they finally installed my fence in June of 2022. However, the fence was installed too close to my neighbors house and is touching their siding. Upon completion of the fence I was informed that if there were any issues they would fix them. I contacted John W**** early August 2022 to remove the panels touching my neighbors home, he stated he would come to correct the problem. Which is simply removal of some panels and reinstall action of one post. They have not returned nor reached out despite stating they would fix the issue. I now need to contract with a different company due to their negligence in installation. I also have pages of emails and texts to support the issues I have had since feb 22Initial Complaint

-Signed contract for fence installation 6/09/2022 -Provide 50% deposit 6/09/2022 of $6,290.00 -Check cashed by Advanced Fence Systems 6/13/2022 -Advanced Fence System advised of product ordering from *************** occuring and delivery of product between July 22-July 28 and advised us of permit being handled electronic shortly after to confirm installation.-Communication became "fuzzy" during week leading up to promised product arrival and now after the promised arrival and installation period with different excuses and about schedulers, employees, and now COVID diagnosis.-Communication took place 8/1/2022 from ***************************** asking for order receipts of the product and exact timeline of the installation and there has been no response since via text which was primary form of communication. - *****************************, my spouse contacted *************** after no response from Advanced Fence Systems and they confirmed there are no orders from Advanced Fencing Systems for our "job" to Advanced Fence Systems -We now have learned based on a *** Philly Report that many other customers have filed complaints and are having these issues. Signed a contract on 5/26/2022 and gave them a deposit of $1,851.42, for the installation of our wood fencing. We tried to contact them over and over by phone, text and email but we were either ignored or received excuses why they were not even completing the permit forms needed before starting the job. They would not give us a start date either. It was excuse after excuse. I finally contacted **** (owner of the company) and told him my husband was coming to pick up our deposit of $1,851.42 and he said that he was able to reverse the transaction on our credit card and provided us with a receipt of refund complete. We were very happy to see it show up on the statement the next day but was then taken away since **** did not have enough money in his account to cover the refund. All we want is our money back and for other customers to know not to use him. We've since learned that this is not the first time he has done this to a customer. This man should not be in business. I think he takes everyone's deposit and puts it towards making his truck look nice.Initial Complaint

I hired Advanced Fence repair in August 2021 to remove and install a new PVC fence. There price was good and I thought it was a good fit. The fence was installed in October and I understood due to labor and materials shortage that there would be a delay. After the installation I started having issues with the fence, part of the paneling came loose on one side and was very shaky and not cemented into the ground securely. I contacted Karen and John multiple times before I could get a response. John came out finally and did a touch up but never really repaired the fence said he would need to come back out when it got warmer and the ground wasn’t as frozen. Since then more of my fence has started to fall apart. I called, texted emailed and no response. Finally I got a call from someone after I threatened to go to the BBB, write a review and get my attorney involved but never a call from Karen or John who are the owners. 5 weeks later and I still don’t have my fence repaired. 2 Sunday's in a row I was told someone was coming out and no one ever came called or texted. I have never in my life done business with a company that is this unprofessional. I will be taking legal action to get this issue resolved.Initial Complaint

Had a portion of our fence damaged by a storm in January 2022. Had John W**** (the owner of the business) come out and do a walk through with me of the damage in February 2022 and provide an estimate for removal and disposal of the old fence and to install a new one. The estimate stated the job would cost $9220.00 with half ($4610.00) being paid as a deposit for materials on April 3rd 2022. The Start Date for the job was scheduled for May 13th 2022. After trying to contact the business numerous times for confirmation they never showed up for the job. Finally I got in touch with ***** (John's Wife) and she stated their truck broke down and they would be able to do the job the next weekend. Once again no one showed up. After many more calls and texts to ***** she finally answered and said the business manager Tom would reach out to me to setup another date for the job. Tom eventually called me and stated that June 3rd 2022 the job would be started. Once again no one showed up. After reaching out to Tom again he stated they would be able to do the job Friday or Saturday of the next weekend. Again no one showed up. After asking for my deposit back Tom begged me to give him another chance to do the job by the end of the week of June 13th 2022. He stated on a follow up call he would be there Saturday June 18th to do the job. I reached out to him that Friday to see what time he would be over the next day to start the job and he did not answer me until Saturday June 18th at 10:32am claiming they were rained out over the week and could not get to me. Tom then said he would have John reach out to me to resolve the issue. I once again asked for my deposit back and Tom apologized on behalf of the company and himself for letting me down and they would resolve it ASAP. I still have not heard from John and it is now Monday June 20th 2022. John W**** and his company Advanced Fence Systems LLC cashed the check for my deposit of $4610.00 on April 4th 2022 and still have not answered.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with this company 1/21/22 with an agreed 3-4 week turnaround. Each week the project isn't done, owner John's wife, ***** gives me excuse after excuse for the delay. They failed to provide any specific date of service, or proactively share schedule or necessary delays. I have reached out, borderline begged, for any information throughout the process. I have a chain of about 45 emails over the last 3 months, and about 30 of them are from me, many of which are just asking for updates and trying to figure out why the job hasn't been done. *****'s emails are overly-generalized and I'm very concerned I've been taken advantage of. I understand that the contract singed waives them of responsibility for delays beyond their control but she has admitted that they were short on equipment or staff and if they were better at running their business, or more ethical in their communication, I wouldn't be experiencing a wait 3x longer than the original timeline provided. I specifically agreed to a fencing material John said was already in their possession, so that should not have been a factor. On 3/28 I offered to let them tell me if they were over capacity, and they could refund me so I could seek other options. No reply. 4/6, I let them know I needed to be released of the contract and refunded. That I could not trust any more potential service dates because over and over again, ***** gives me a rough timeline, and those days pass and there's another bogus reason for it. I told them I would be following up with BBB. The repoly was "if you want to cancel we totally understand!" however, she was again non specific and still have no committment action from her for processing a full refund for $3282.81. They have also never answered any phones numbers provided or returned any voicemails left. I have specifically requested replies via phone and they've never acknowledged why they wont pick up. happy to supply all emails if helpfulCustomer response
