This business is a consignment shop for children clothing. I called and scheduled an appointment to consign items, I had an appointment there on Jan 4, 2022, I took a truck bed full of items that included, a car seat with three bases, a walker, a sit me up, a sit and spin activity center, a baby swing, and two full totes of clothing. She took all of the items. I attempted to contact her in Feb. of 2022, with no reply, via Facebook messenger as she instructed me to do. On June 2, 2022 she finally replied and told me that my account balance was 50.20. on Nov 21, 2022 I reviewed the business as a rip off, which it is in my opinion. Immediately she sent me a message saying I was "bashing her on Facebook" in informed her of the items that I consigned with her and the amount of money in return is indeed a rip off. At that time she said that she believed I now had 70.00 in my account. I told her that I do not want to go to the business again, and I asked her to mail me a check ands deduct the cost of an envelope, a stamp, and the paper and ink for a printout receipt of my items. On Jan 3, 2023 i had not received a check, so I sent her a message reminding them because I knew that one year was coming up. she replied back with a picture of the contract signed Jan 4, 2022 and told me that she would not mail my check because "I bashed her on Facebook" I also have the conversation in my telephone, should you need more information.Business response

********* ***** did have an appt on Jan 4th,2022. Seventy-four items were consigned at the time. She contacted me on Feb 18th through Facebook about making another appointment. Feb 19th i responded. On Feb 23rd, she asked to make another appointment for a later date and asked me how much money she had on her account. I must have opened it and didn't realize at the time who *** ***** was and thought I would figure it out later and totally forgot which I completely apologize for. On June 2nd she wanted to know how much was on her account and at that time said her name. On June 3rd I responded to her message and told her she had 50.20 check at that time and could be picked up anytime during store hours (per consignment agreement). Of which she never did. On Nov 21st I put a post on my Facebook about wanting to purchase some items from consigners. She commented on the post about how she would never bring anything here that I ripped her off. The same night I private messaged her about the situation. Responding with I messaged her on June 3rd about her having money on her account and how to get it. She was nothing but rude including how I must have been high when she did her initial consignment and how the whole experience off drop off was horrible. If it was so horrible, why did she contact me in February about making another appointment. Not that I get into my personal life with my customers, but I had covid mid-December of 2020 and had a horrible time with it including horrible vertigo. My first week back to work was the week she came in with her items. I was not high or nor do I do drugs. She also demanded at the time a check be mailed to her. She told me goodnight and she was done talking. Don't know exact date but within the last two weeks she for the second time posted all over Facebook about how horrible of a place this is and posted the messages about me about how she claimed I was high etc. at that time I sent her a copy of the consignment agreement she had signed. She has created another Facebook account in which she posted all over my Facebook yet again for the 3rd time. At this point I try my hardest to run my business to the best of my ability. In 12 years+ of being in business I have never dealt with anything so crazy. I have consigners from out of state that drops off consignment in the spring and picks up checks from fall and again in the spring. Even out of state consigners have no problem with my consignment agreement policy. My business is in a very small town and things don't sell overnight. You stop in twice a year and account always stays current. I will attach the consignment policy I have for every consigner. It clearly states it is your responsibility to pick up your checks. Any checks over 6mponths will be void. IN BOLD. I never mail checks. I go above and beyond for all my consigners and customers but when you bash me on my Facebook not 1, not 2, but 3 times I call it cutting our ties. If the harassment continues on my Facebook or about my business, I will press harassment and defamation of character chargers.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have included images that were taken of the entire discussion via Facebook messanger between the business owner and myself. I commented on the page that I felt the place was a rip off. At that point is when I received a message saying that I was bashing her. It is a rip off for what I took and the little bit of money I had supposedly made. I will not change my view on that. As you can see from the discussion I did not demand a check. I offered to pay for it. My address is blacked out for privacy purposes. In the the initial message I stated my name, so she knew who I was the entire time, see image one. After I wished her a merry Christmas and thanked her for reaching out, I waited for check. It never came, so I asked her about it, as you can see. She refused to send that because I bashed her on Facebook per her words. I had written that it was a rip off. After she refused to mail the check, I commented again that it was a rip off and she refused to mail me the check. I wanted to post a negative review on the business page, so I did. With an account that was created in 2021, which I can provide proof of that as well but I was not provided enough attachments on your site. I can also provide you a copy of the review that I have written. I used the other account because I was blocked the site and was unable to do so. I feel that if she states she goes above and beyond for her customers, that mailing a check should not be that difficult. That’s all I wanted, was the little money I had made and the print out. I even offered to pay for it. I do not consider a negative comment “bashing all over Facebook” if I felt I had been payed the proper amount for all of the items that I consigned, I would not make a comment at all. After I was messaged by her for my comment, and only after she refused to mail my check did I comment again that it was a rip off. My review that I gave the store was posted on Jan 12,2023. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on a business and they way they operate. My opinion is clear. It is a rip off. Going above and beyond for a customer would be swallowing your pride and making it right with the customer. All I want is to receive the money that I made from my items. I do not understand why that is so hard for her. I amNot harassing anyone, I’m stating my experience was poor and I feel that it is a rip off. A business owner should take pride in their business and make every attempt to make it right. This woman just says no, you call it a rip off, I don’t pay you. That’s poor business. If I am able to, I will submit another rejection so that I can include proof that I did not create an account just to give a poor review, a copy of the review given, which includes the date.
Regards,
