    Chimney Cricket came out for a cleaning and without doing a full inspection first they said it's probably not worth cleaning. I agreed to have them do a full evaluation that cost $125. When they were done they recommended replacing the chimney. The chimney in question and surrounding roof had not leaked in 14 years, 3 days after the inspection my chimney/roof was leaking. I had to have the leak fixed immediately to limit further damage. I have contacted them numerous times and they refuse to fix a leak they caused or pay any compensation. The only thing they did was refund the $125 evaluation fee.

    There is no factual grounding for this complaint. Customer requested inspection of the chimney. We accessed the roof to do an inspection of the chimney. The roof was already in poor shape with water damage and moss. Our technician got up on the roof for 5-10 minutes to take pictures. We did not cause any damage to the chimney or roof. We did not use any equipment that damaged the chimney or roof. We took documented photos of the existing water issues with the roof and chimney which I have attached to this complaint. There was both moss and lichen growing on the roof as you will see in the pictures - already water issues when we arrived. There are water stains on the inside of the house on the ceiling - already water issues when we arrived. Any subsequent water issues were cause by existing damage. Customer was aggressive, rude, and demanding. We refunded them the inspection cost out of courtesy.

    This business came out to my house to give me an estimate on an old chimney. While they were on my roof they disturbed the area around the chimney causing a leak that was notice a couple days later. I have tried to reconcile with them for damages but they refused, now they are harassing me with sales emails.

    Customer has been removed from our mailing list and clearly marked as do not contact in our CRM. Chimney Cricket is not responsible in anyway for any claimed damage to this customers roof. We have documented pictures before we set foot on the roof that shows clear water damage. Customer claims he already resolved the roofing issue without letting us inspect or make a reasonable repair. Customer did not send us ANY documented evidence of damage to the roof. I have attached pictures of the roof before our technician walked on it. There was no service done for this customer other than a visual inspection.
