This relates to the property address *********************, Haverford, PA,  *****.- On April 16 2021, Lou L****** provided me a written estimate for work to remodel the master bathroom.- On April 30 2021 I sent a check from my bank for $5000 as a deposit for the project - The project never got scheduled to start and then on October 26 2021 I informed Lou that I was going to be selling the house so did not want to proceed with the project.- over the next few months I have tried to get my deposit back but have not been able to. Mr L******* said he had spend the deposit to purchase a vanity, tile and fixtures and that the manufacturers would not acccept those as returns.- no written contract was ever signed, and I have never received any actual goods or services. Nothing was ever delivered to the house and no work was ever done.- I would like my $5000 deposit returning.

    Dear Customer Representative,

Sometime after 4-16-21 **** ****** agreed to hire us to remodel his bathroom for $20,875.  I asked him for a $5000. deposit so I could order material for the project as **** chose the tile, cabinet + plumbing fixtures I ordered them immediately because product is taking long to come in and I wanted to have everything in my possession before we started as a "RESPONSIBLE" contractor should do.

I did this & have the product. So is not returnable & I have told him so repeatedly!!!

I called him around August some time to get ready to start & he said he wanted to wait until his kids went back to school.  Then the next I heard he was moving & wanted his money back.

That is not how it work.  I did what I always have done, buy the materials needed to do the job before I start.  I don't need anyone badmouthing me because they want to renege on a commitment that I responsibly planned for.

This man should absorb the consequences of not honoring our deal. I had nothing to do with him deciding to sell his house.

I have told him I would give him the materials I purchased.

    Thank

    Lou L.
