On March 5, 2022 I purchased an unfinished 6' x 4' pine bookcase from Sculps Hill Furniture. The bookcase was upstairs on the property and only needed to be stained and delivered. The owner, Marc, indicated it could be possibly done by the end of March. He would deliver for free as I live very close to the shop. (verbally stated.) I paid in FULL $795 in good faith, but would have to pay for the staining about $150 or so. I have the photocopy of what was to be done and color of stain. As follow up I've tried stopping by during business hours, calling his business and cell #s from his business card and have sent 2 e-mails. The shop phone is usually full and can not receive voicemails. I was able to leave 2 separate voicemails from his cell phone on July 17th and July 25th. No response. I had stopped at one point in spring to give him a small drawer from my roll top desk to match the stain as close as possible. On either a follow up visit/phone call he told me he couldn't find the small drawer maybe the guy who stains furniture would have it. Sometimes when I've randomly stopped by the shop when he is supposed to have business hours, he is not there or other people are waiting for him to supposedly show up. There is NO indication on his ** page or a website that there is currently a reason that he is not at his shop and doing business. There were some comments on his ** page that indicated that this avoiding/non communication of purchase status is happening to other people as well. At this point I either want **a refund of my purchase OR the finished product and my little desk drawer returned. While I am understanding, to a point if there are some unexpected circumstances, the lack of professionalism to at least call and explain why the delay is problematic. I am rightfully frustrated and running out of patience. I have been cordial in my verbal or written communications. I want a resolution to move forward.

Ordered 2 pieces of unfinished furniture on 4/1/2022, put a deposit of $150 down on the furniture. Since that time I have received no communication from the business. I have left numerous phone messages and even talked to associates on the phone at the business who said they would relay the message and have the owner call back which he never has.

On January 29,2022 I dropped off at Sculps Unfinished Furniture 4 sewing machine drawers and 2 frames that the drawers go in. I wanted to have them stripped and the frames stained, three of the drawers painted and one stained. We picked out the colors, also to put a piece of wood on top of each frame and have that stained. He said that he could do it, but it would be awhile, well it is 5 months and 3 weeks, every time I called he keeps saying they will be ready in two weeks, again call in two weeks. I called the store, can’t leave msg, because it is full, cell phone the same. This man that worked for him, which no longer does because of what he is doing, lying to people, so he quit. This man told me that he was getting phone call, which he took, saying people gave a down payment and never got their furniture, His wife went to shop and said that my items were there and nothing was done to them. I tend to believe this former employee, Fortunately I didn’t give a downpayment(he didn’t ask for one). All I want is my items, I did text him and never replied, so I texted a second time and I said I would have to contact authorizes if I don’t hear back, have the courtesy to call me. Well he did answer my text, and they would almost be done. I believe he is giving me the run around. I hope you can help me, this means a lot to me.
