BEK Express LLC is a car transport company I used to recently ship my car from the dealer to my house. I had a signed contract saying exactly "the car will be picked up on or two days prior to the 18th of August and be delivered on or two days prior to the 22nd of August. They broke the contract we signed by picking up the car on the 19th and not delivering it until the 24th. During that time I had no way of contacting the company or the driver because all of the information given on the contract was outdated so none of the numbers were in service. It wasn't until the 23th I received a call from the driver saying it won't be delivered that day but maybe the 24rd or possibly the 25th. When I complained and had someone from the company call me they told me exactly "I don't care about the contract, I don't car about your car, but you're paying us what was on the paper" So I was left in a position where I either paid them the full amount even though they were the ones to break the contract, or not pay them and have a lien put on the car, again, until I pay them. I lost two days worth of pay by having to call out from work on the 22nd and 23rd thinking my car was being delivered, but due to the negligence of the company by not contacting me ,and in my opinion, purposefully not updating their contact information I had no way of calling for clarification. As the consumer, I feel I have no recourse for a situation like this. I upheld my end of the contract by paying them, but they blatantly broke their end of the deal by not delivering the car on time on top of causing me financial harm by negligently keeping me uninformed. Why am I expected to uphold my end of the agreement if they can just blatantly ignore and break the same agreement.I also have a couple of recordings of the phone conversations with the company and the dealer will also corroborate what I typed out above as the were the ones who set up the contract originally.
