Ordered a monogrammed gift (candle). Shame on me for not reading reviews! Literally every review on their website is from people with the same issue...Completely wrong initial on the candle. Unfortunately mine was a gift that was opened ***** miles away by my son and his new ********* embarrassing for me! The wrong initial and their gift. Wow. ********** the company who states they will process a refund (I did not request a refund, I asked how this error will be corrected). No offer to replace the product, just an offer to refund due to their error.I received a refund. Days later I received an email telling me I had 30 days to return the item to them.I respond letting them know this was a gift and I do not have the item to return to them. Am I to further embarrass myself and have the recipient return it?Direct quote from the response email:"Thank you for reaching out! We apologize for the inconvenience. I request you to please do not worry and I've forwarded it to our concerned team. So that you can keep the item without returning. They will look into this and ensure to take proper measures in this regard. Once processed, you will receive confirmation via email with a solution within 72 business hours. Thank you for the patience. Have a great day!"I received no further response from ******** week later I received an email from them that my payment was declined!They attempted to charge me (again!) for the candle!I sent two emails two days ago and have heard nothing back from them.I have filed a claim with ******, not for money back but for their poor and fraudulent customer service.Please believe what you read about this dreadful company!Review from Lorraine W

Terrible customer service and nobody to talk to when there is an issue. Was told that I would hear back from customer service within 72 hours and nobody replied to me, instead they end up resetting your request so you wait even longer to get help. ******** especially since they charge so much for their products.Review from Cindy W

I purchased a beautiful star wreath (according to the website pictures) for $74.63. What I recieved was a metal star with random pieces of greenery held on by black zipties all around it. Yes, the only thing holding this wreath together were black zipties that you can see across.the room. It looks like a $20 wreaththat I wouldn't even buy for that amount. Thin, bare spots, zip ties and broken pieces ready fallen off in the box. They refused to send a label for me to return. Pretty much a scam.site instead of the higher end quality seller they say they are. Now filing with my credit card. Don't purchase from here. They will rip you off and try to make it your problem on your dime for false representation. CB2 has much better customer service and quality items.Review from Kelly B

Bullies!! I innocently ordered a coffee table from Anthropologie in May 2024 and we are still disputing it 5 months later due to their woeful customer service and inept accounting system. The day before delivery, Anthropologie rang to say they didn't have a perfect table so they were delivering a damaged one in the meantime. Huh? We had given away our old coffee table to make room for the new one so we took the faulty one in the interim to have something to use. We were both busy with work and the faulty table wasn't too bad so we decided to just keep it to make life easy. Anthropologie gave us a small discount. I paid with a foreign credit card so I incurred a foreign transaction fee on top of the final price. Hey, the price of doing business. I was ok with that. And that was the end.....or so we thought. 20 days later, Anthropologie refunds me the final price for no reason. I didn't notice it in my card statement until they emailed a month after that saying I need to pay up again or they're picking up the table. So because of their completely incompetent ability to match orders with accounts, I have to pay a SECOND foreign fee on my credit card when they charge me a second time after their random refund. I asked them to please cover the second foreign fee because they mistakenly refunded without an explanation but they refused. I told them they did not have permission to charge my card again and that the BBB could decide who would pay it. Within an hour of that email, Anthropologie had charged my card again anyway. They completely disregarded my instructions and went ahead charging my card after I specifically said no. In my mind, that is theft. Please read this and all the other 1 star reviews before considering giving your credit card details to this company. They cannot be trusted. And notice that Anthropologie does not respond to these reviews. They simply do not care. This is a case of a big bully picking on small customers. Disgusting.Review from Winnie L

******** customer service! A few of my recent online orders were cancelled with no explanation. I have called their customer service to inquire further and was informed that someone will reach out within 72 hours. No response so far, not even a recognition email that the call took place. Horrible customer service. Customers are not notified of delays in packages. Shipping is an absolute nightmare. For what they charge customer service should be impeccable. Will never shop there again!!!Review from Mona P

I have been shopping at ****** for years but my last experience & customer support from ****** was terrible My order AP31795627 was placed, received it, two dresses, both had issues, called Anthro numerous times, they kept telling me that they were trying to reach the seller, I tried also but the seller was not responding. In short I cannot use the two dresses and Anthro is not taking any responsibility. I will never shop again.Review from Julie Y

Anthropologie is probably the store I've shopped most frequently with. Back in February 2024, I ordered a friend in ******** who just lost her family dog a candle. It just so happened that around the same time I ordered myself (I live in **) the same candle. My package never arrived, so I reached out to Anthropologie's chat for a reshipment, which was granted but the online rep messed up and shipped it to my friend in ********. I only caught the mistake when I saw the "your package is out for delivery" email and reached out to Anthropologie for their error. They then issued me a refund and said I could ask my friend to refuse shipment (which I don't even know how one would do in this day and age when the *** person just drops off the package, marks as delivered, and leaves). I was never told I needed to ask my friend to return the package. I never thought twice about this and had been shopping with Anthropologie as usual. Placed an online order as recently as last month. Fast forward to now end of July 2024, I tried to place an order, which got cancelled due to a restriction on my account. I was dumbfounded. After spending hours on the internet, I realized this may be due to an unreturned item that was refunded. I realized, oh it could be the candle. The online chat and customer phone call could only escalate for internal review to reach out to me via emails in the next 72 hours, which didn't sound promising. Eventually, I did find a dispute number on Reddit that I called and was connected to an agent, who told me my account was restricted because of the candle I didn't return in February. To recap, five months ago, an online rep messed up a reshipment address, issued me a refund, expected me to return the package even though it was shipped to thousands of miles away. Five months went by and I receive zero communication about this, only to find out today I got banned by them because I owed them $62 for a candle. Horrendous business practice.Review from Alex L

I ordered a bodysuit on sale for $17 along with other items. My order shipped but the bodysuit was missing. I immediately contacted customer service and as told the bodysuit was out of stock but I could reorder in another color at full price $58 plus shipping and be refunded the price difference and shipping. I did this and contacted CS 4x in same day to try and get this done. Chat was also disconnected and the adjustment was never made. Im at the end of my rope. A customer shouldnt have to contact for a missing item in the first place it should have been refunded as soon as it was unable to be shipped. I wont be shopping here anymore:
