This is where the scam begins the secretary says oh hold he the doc wants see something. Ok I go back in a room a new doc walks in. I figure this is the real doc not the assistant. Says lift my shirt thought she going use a stethoscope. I’m on my phone with my boss not paying attention I was already walking out the door. She then hits me with a ultra sound. I was like what is this. I’m here for a cough . Oh this ok the doc wants this done. By this time she done. So quick with it. I don’t k ow how and ultra sound of my heart goes with a cough. But I never made this appointment or did I sign off on this procedure. After the insurance company agreed with me and dropped the claim the Philadelphia heart pc calls and “ says come on it’s only 300$ “ it’s 300 procedure I didn’t agree to . Now they sent me to collections for the scam they are running threw dr ********** office

    Dear ******** *******:
I am writing in response to your letter dated March 15, 2023, regarding the above referenced complaint. The complainant is a patient of our practice. Regarding the incident in question, the patient was seen on March 29, 2022, at one of our offices. Pursuant to this visit, an Echocardiogram was ordered by one of our providers. This Echocardiogram was approved by the patient's insurance company and was performed by a duly certified cardiovascular ultrasound sonographer. At no time did the patient refuse to be treated with the properly indicated and ordered test. Although the Echocardiogram was approved by the insurance company, this diagnostic test was subject to the patient's outstanding deductible under his insurance plan as provided in the explanation of benefits. Despite multiple collection attempts by our billing department, including offers to allow the patient to go on a payment plan, the patient refused to pay his portion (member responsibility). Consequently, we sent the patient to our collection agency, which is part of our standard operating procedure for delinquent patients. If you need any additional information or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
    Very truly yours,
    ********* **********, Esquire
    CEO and General Counsel

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
The doctor did not order a test or me soon a test. The doctor said if this keeps up make another appointment to be seen. My health insurance did not approve this . I was not told I needed this done. I went to see the doc for a tickle in my throat. The secretary said the doc wasn't to see you. No one said one word to me about having this done. It appears the secatry made this up. I got one letter. From them and not one person from billing called . When my insurance denied the claim is when I got a call the man said its only 300 man you can pay this I never agreed ,I never made an appointment for this. (How would a tickle in my throat turn into looking a completely different body part make any sense.  )Then I got the collections letter.  You scammed me and others its a buzz in town.

    Regards,
