The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On April 15, 2024, Allegheny County Police in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office charged Vincent Fannick, owner of Vince's Towing with theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, insurance fraud, securing execution of documents by deception, criminal conspiracy and running a corrupt organization.
According to the complaint, it's been alleged that Fannick was charging consumers’ insurance companies with exorbitant tow costs by not revealing prices on invoices, then charging “accident services” fees.
This matter is pending. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
