At V&M we pride ourselves on doing good work and clearing the road quickly. The incident that the customer was involved in was dispatched as a vehicle in a ditch during a snowstorm. We dispatched a flatbed tow truck to the scene, the car was in a ditch with minimal damage. Our driver winched the vehicle out and brought it back to our location. The customer called 1/27 and we explained charges, they said they would be in later. Customer then came to the office on 1/31 where they were upset at the charges and wanted to remove the car but refused to pay. The car then left on 2/2. The invoice at that point totalled $1,202.75.

    The breakdown looks like this:
    $245 accident call out
    $40 labor
$175 winching  (vehicle was in a ditch)
$35 Debris removal (this seems to be what the customer has an issue with)
    $125 Light duty admin fee
    $42.75 LD fuel surcharge
    $540 storage ($60/day @ 9 days)

This breakdown is also on the invoice the complainant received, they clearly did not look at the invoice to see this. This recovery was also requested by the police for a vehicle in a ditch, it was not called in by the customer and our rates follow the rate sheet approved by the police department.

If there is any further explanation needed please call me directly at ************. I can also forward you the invoice so you can see what the charges are yourself.

    Thanks,
    ****
