I only stayed 1 night he charged me a month refused to give me my money. Moved my belongings when I was gone for an hour from one hotel room to another without notice or any contact at all. I came back to the motel and my hotel room was empty and he told me me moved my property from room ** to **. Found that I was missing my wedding ring, $300 from my bag, and a few other items that were in my property. My clothing and box that I had there were open and thrown throughout the room obviously gone through clean clothes mixed with dirty so now I get to rewash everything. Threatened to throw all my belongings outside when I contacted the police about my missing wedding ring. Was advised to contact BBB because they couldn't do much. They said he does this often and just got out of jail and is on probation for beating his wife and advised that I have no contact with him for my safety due to him being physical towards women in the past.

    Business response

    09/19/2023

In response to this complaint, we are stating that the complaint is baseless. The hotel has both nightly and non-nightly rates. Non-nightly are discounted rates that are non-refundable. The said customer signed a contract that clearly notifies them that rates are non-refundable once the check-in process is complete, regardless of any circumstance. The said customer agreed to and paid for a 30 night rate, but only stayed for two nights and checked out without any due notice. The customer was shown her room before check-in, where she was initially given a larger room and was told she would later be moved to a different room, which she accepted and was assisted in moving by hotel management. Any personal accusations made regarding hotel management are baseless and un-factual. Hotel policy and contract also states that guests are fully responsible for any personal belongings in the room during their stay, and management is not responsible for any lost/damaged items. The guest did not include a picture of the second page of the signed contract which clearly outlines all of the above but not limited to policies and disclosures. We are attaching a sample of this page for reference, which had been signed and acknowledged by the customer prior to check in.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
