I purchased the club online from walmart and received the club in the late afternoon of Thursday, October 19th. I took the club out of the box and tested both of the keys multiple times on the club before ever putting the club on the steering wheel. Both worked fine. I then went out to my SUV and tried the club on my steering wheel. As went to attempt to remove the club from the steering wheel, it would not unlock. This was the first and only time I had ever used it and tested it 5 minutes before and had just opened it from the box and it was fine. I called their company number but they were on the east coast and closed for the day. I attempted for hours with no luck to remove the club from my car. I woke up the next morning to call the company and they instructed me to try several things, none of which worked. I was told that something inside the main lock had probably jammed and I was going to need to call a locksmith to get the club off my SUV. I had not even had the club a full 24 hours or even left my house. The club had just been removed from the packaging. This caused a major inconvenience as I was unable to drive my SUV the next day, I had work on Friday. I am also my father's primary caregiver who is an amputee and wheelchair bound who had an appointment on Friday and his appointment had to be canceled due to the car being "undriveable" due to the defective lock. The vehicle the club was on is the vehicle that is used with the wheelchair capabilities. I was able to return club to Walmart for full refund, however I feel the company should pay for the locksmith charges as the club had literally just come out of the box. They are only offering to pay 50%. I lost a day of work and pay, the inconvenience of canceling and rescheduling appointments for my father, and had to pay 129.45 for a locksmith to come out the next day. If the club had been old and use, this would be understandable. But for the company to not stand by their product is unacceptable.
