**** gave me a price of $3,000.00 to remove trees from the front of my property. He said because I was his friend, he would give me such a deal. He started June 1st cutting the trees. He removed approximately half of the trees I haven't seen him since. He has every excuse from his daughter bought a house, he was sick, he didn't have any help and other excuses. Since he was a friend, I paid him by check the full amount. I continued to ask him about when he would finish the job and even asked him on his ******** page. At that point, he blocked me on ******** and Messenger. I kept all the messages from **** saying he would be back but my property looks terrible and he is always a no show. The last time I messaged him was October 5, 2022. The attachments may not be in order because they are from Messenger.

Dear ****************** my name is ***************************** I am the owner of Wyoming Valley landscaping I got a letter in the mail today with a complaint from a customer of ***************************** the main reason we have not finished the job was because I was waiting for the poison ivy vines which we did not see in the first place to die off in the fall when they are less contagious myself and my whole crew came down with poison ivy symptoms from ****************** job when I did the job I did not see all of this poison ivy all over her trees in fact there was about 15 trees in question and we have done nine or 10 of them she has paid me $3000 I believe I am going to give her a refund of $1500 which is more then she deserves for how much work and aggravation we had to put up with with the poison ivy I don't want to finish the job because my workers do not want to get this Poison ivy all over them again can I known that these trees were infestation did so badly with these vines I would've never taken the job on I believe she should be more than happy with the refund since I have done about 3/4 or 75% of the job not half as she states if you need this in writing I can also compose a letter and send it to you email me back if this suffices thank you for your cooperation and I will get on resolving this immediately

    Dear Sirs,
I am writing in an effort to get some assistance regarding the above claim. The BBB contacted ** ********** and he agreed via the BBB website, to reimburse me $1,500.00 but to date, I have received nothing. I am wondering if there is anything else you can do to help me out with this.
I am enclosing articles concerning *** ********** so that you can understand that I am not the first elderly person he has taken advantage of and he still continues to run his business with no further issues. Why is he left to continue or does he just rename his businesses and gets away with this type of stuff. I have tried to contact him but he has blocked me and I have no further way to get in touch with him.
I ended up having another contractor finish the job and he charged me $1,500.00 so the work is completed but I'm out $1,500.00 and I feel John owes me the money since he never completed the job.
If I have to file with a magistrate I will do just that. I feel I have given him ample
amount of time to do the right thing, to no avail. I'm trying to contact you to see if you could do something further.
    Please let me know.

    Thank you

    *******

Thank you for trying to get this resolved. Elderly people should not be victimized like this. I will contact a local magistrate to see if I can get my money back.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *******
