I signed a contract with K2 engineering to have a property surveyed so that I may proceed with the process of building. I had to put down a deposit of $350 to have them start. The day of august 23rd 2023, they started the initial survey located old pins and at the end after the guy finished he said it'll be about 2-3 weeks and we will be back out to place final markers to complete the survey. Well, now here It is October 30th and it still hasn’t been completed. I have called K2 multiple times over the past couple months just to either be told someone would have to call me back and then never receive a phone call or to be sent through to a guy named Brian just for him to tell me, they ran into a few issues And should probably have it taken care of next week. Obviously that week nothing ever happened so I called again same thing week after week after week I am being put further and further behind and being able to proceed with my home building plans and nobody seems to care .

    Business response

    11/13/2023

Mr. ******* was provided a proposal for survey services on 8/4/23 based on a phone conversation to completed a boundary survey and a subdivision.  Mr. ******* called and changed the scope of services to eliminate the subdivision and only provide the boundary survey after receiving the proposal.  A revised proposal was provided on 8/8/23.  Initial field work was completed on 8/23/23.  When comparing the recorded deeds of properties in the area with what was located in the field, discrepancies were found.  These discrepancies were that the pins in the field did not line up with Mr. *******’s deed, there were several overlaps.  Phone calls were made between K2 and Mr. ******* to explain the issues and he was notified that additional research was needed.  An email that contained images showing the findings of the survey along with where the discrepancies were was provided to Mr. ******* and a follow up phone call was made to further discuss.  Mr. ******* agreed to the path that we were proposing to move forward and the property was pinned on 10/31/23.

The certified survey plat is attached for the record and is available to Mr. **** upon the balance of the contract price being paid.
