Purchased a 2016 Subaru Impreza on 10/13/2022 from Anthony K********i at Waterford Auto Sales *** **** ** waterford, PA. I paid them $5400 for the car, $600 for them to inspect it & another $533 for transfer/ notary fees. We were told that the transmission was just replaced and that they would inspect the vehicle & fix any issues. We had talked about prior bad purchases with used cars and that we needed something dependable. We were assured that their business was different and that any major issues would be taken care of. Drove the car for 5 weeks and then started hearing terrible noises from the engine and it was not running right. We reached out to them and they said Anthony would pick the car up and take it to his garage and look at it. After a week of waiting, phone tag and miscommunication we finally just took it to another garage to see what was wrong. The mechanic there said it needed a new tensioner and pully and that the transmission was going bad among other issues. We got the car back after paying $140 for him to look at it and contacted the sellers to see what they were going to do. Dropped it off on Dec 14th 2022 with them, after 3 weeks of no contact and failung to respond to my calls and msgs they confirmed the transmission was bad. His lack of professionalism with not showing up when he commits, no updates or contact after several calls and msgs received during this lengthy period. He has no urgency to get this resolved. When he finally returned my calls, he told me it would be another $1,200.00 for transmission repairs. My response was I didnt have anymore money and that the car was already supposed to have had the transmission fixed! We need this vehicle for transportation because we both go seperate directions each day. At this point we just want our money back because we were sold a lemon and have not been able to drive it for over 2 months with it being in the garage for 6 weeks of that and they have done nothing to fix it yet.
