I was clear in my request for the lower partials to be made without metal. The ** okayed my wishes and told me that my wish would be respected.During my treatment, I used my insurance and paid costs with my credit card in full. The dr. **** to maximize my insurance benefits for the year, she would accommodate my appointments before years end despite her tight schedule. When I returned for bridge and lower partial, the partial denture was made with metal. I expressed my concerns, reminding the staff of my request. The ** suggested I take the partials home to try them, and l return them if I was not satisfied. a few weeks, I returned the partials, months later, I got a bill $735.80. I contacted the office I was told that I was responsible for the payment because my insurance did not cover the costs. I told them I returned the partials, I have the right to choose my treatment. the staff insisted that I had to pay the bill. I told them I will report to the BBB. Then I was told the office would waive the bill. I got a bill again weeks later. I called the office and I spoke with ******, she said there was no records of my previous discussions regarding the metal partials. She said that I had not left the partials at the office. Despite my repeated explanations about my patient rights she dismiss my concerns and insisted that the ** believed the metal partials is the best treatment for me. After I hung up, ****** called to relay a message from the owners, stating they would adjust the partials if I brought them in. I reiterated that I did not have the partials, I left it at the office. She ultimately ended the call without ************* disappointed by the lack of professionalism and respect shown to me. it is crucial for dental practices to honor patient preferences and ensure transparent communication regarding treatment options.
