    Just the bare bones: Every lower priced affordable used car on the lot will be sold already when you contact them. They ran a hit on my credit before I was even sure I was going to work with them. Tried to push and pressure me into too expensive car. Dont car shop here!

    On September 30, 2024, ******** reached out to Memorial Highway Chevrolet of Windber via email to inquire about a vehicle she had seen online, expressing her desire to handle all communications through email. On the same day, she submitted her credit application through our online financing portal.Unfortunately, the vehicle she was interested in was sold to another buyer, and we promptly informed ******** of this development. She was open to exploring other options and mentioned she had a trade-in, though we had not yet seen the vehicle and were working with the information she provided.We submitted an alternative vehicle for consideration that would meet the bank's requirements for approval. However, the terms offered were ultimately outside of ********** monthly budget. Our sales team has made several attempts to contact her but has not received a response.We have since followed up via email, clarifying that a less expensive vehicle does not always result in a lower payment, and we remain eager to assist ******** in the future.

    BUYER BEWARE! I went through a 3-day nightmare from this place. We decided to buy my son a ***** 2018 Sonic and we had it delivered. When the salesman R. got here and I asked him if it had ever been in a wreck. He said, "Yeah I hit a few deer on my way done" and laughed it off. I didn't find it funny and avoided my question. I tried to find out more about what we would be paying back in total and he kept saying we will get to that in a minute, but we never did. We had a ton of papers to sign and then I saw the final payback and it was way more than what I expected! It was right after he left when the car couldn't start! We contacted him and he said it was due to Onstar and we had to jump it to get it to turn on. Out of concern, I decided to do a Carfax to get more information regarding the car's history which wasn't listed on the car's original website listing nor shown to us in person. It was after paying out of pocket for a report that we found out that this car was in a major accident, was towed, and had the front end replaced. So I decided to call R. and he acted like I was making this up and that they don't sell cars like that! So, I called manager ** and threaten to *** if they did not refund my money and retrieve their car. After he abruptly hung up on me at the end, we then went through 5 hours of going back and forth texting with R. the salesman begging for a refund. As he was throwing out deal offers of cars above our price range, I then talked to a different manager who said the ladies in the office would call me back tomorrow morning which they didn't. I decided to call again and got the first manager again who promised to come to get the car himself which he didn't. Instead, he sent two elderly men, one being 80. They gave me the license plate that I need to return yet to boot! I had to pay almost $50 for a car fax and $36 to stop a check because I was truly afraid that they were not going to return our money. Still waiting for my $500 deposit.

    We are apologetic that Ms. ***** was offended by our salespersons attempt at humor and the frustration she felt as this is not how we conduct business. In regard to the payback, we have copies of all of the text messages between Ms. ***** and her salesperson and all figures in the text messages match the bill of sale and the installment sales contract which includes the federal truth in lending act disclosure which is required by law. As for the payback, there are many extenuating circumstances that dictate interest rate and that is what happened in Ms. *****'s case as a co-signer/guarantor on this loan. Memorial Highway Chevrolet does not pull a carfax for all pre owned vehicles unless it is requested by the customer. The vehicles are marked online if they are carfaxed and the report is available by clicking on the icon. If she had requested a carfax we would have gladly pulled that report for her. We attempted several times to refund Ms. *****'s $500 deposit. She made us aware of the fact that her credit card bank had changed and the credit card she originally used was no longer valid. When she alerted us of this, we wrote her a check to refund the $500 deposit. Typically our sales managers do not go on vehicle pick ups. He may have told her he would personally arrange the pick up as we have full time drivers employed. Regardless of age, our drivers are vetted very carefully. We have accepted her vehicle back and refunded all monies that were paid Memorial Highway Chevrolet.

    ************* Beware! They had a truck advertised on their website for 26k and I submitted a *********** pre-approval for that amount through their website. I went and took a test drive and started the numbers process. They came back with a totally different price that was 10k higher and tried to super lowball me on a trade for my truck. I showed them all of the information that was on their website and the pre-approval and they said it was a "third party" error and it was magically corrected as soon as I was there and they wouldn't sell me the truck for that price. I walked out and made a post on FB and I found out that this was one of their sales gimmicks that they use a lot and I even had a message from the previous owner of the dealership that advised that they do a lot of things that are borderline illegal. They need to be looked at immediately for unfair practices toward potential and past customers.

    While we appreciate **************** bringing this to your attention, we would like to provide proof that Memorial Highway Chevrolet realized the error made by our 3rd party affiliate. We have documentation that shows that 9:52am was the time that I personally made the correction in our system. We also have documentation showing that 12:23pm is the time that ******************** sales associate, ****, entered his information into the system. At 1:25pm, our manager, ***************************, presented numbers to **************** that reflected the correct price for the vehicle. We feel this is valid proof to show that we in fact, did not, change the pricing while **************** was in the dealership as he claims. We noticed the error first thing in the morning and made the correction.
