I have been trying to get in contact with *********************************** to obtain a copy of my Act 60 decree for my taxes and have not received any communication back for weeks. ******* filed for my decree and I paid him for the service in which he has been negligent since he's collected my payment.

    Business response

    04/02/2024

It has come to our attention that ********************* ****** has filed a complaint against our firm regarding services rendered.
Zara contracted us to provide tax advisory services. More specifically, to file for tax decree Puerto Rico Tax Incentives Code (Act 60, 2019, as amended). The Services under contract have been completed. We filed for the decree and its still under review by the Puerto Rico (**) tax authorities. Once the tax decree application has been filed, it takes no less than 1 year, and even more, for the ** tax authorities to review them. In the case of ****, everything was filed on time, and we have been waiting for the ** tax authorities to finish reviewing her application. In the meantime, **** has been sending numerous emails, texts, and even calling insistently and outside business hours (11:00pm and 12:00am) creating undesirable issues in our personal lives and households. Also, we have explained to her that email is our main communication method, and even so she has proceeded texting and calling outside of business hours.  We also have explained numerous times that the decree takes time to get reviewed and approved, and as soon as we have update, we will reach out.
We are still waiting for ** Tax authorities to finish reviewing her tax decree application, and now its in the final stages of being approved.

For these reasons we believe that ****'s complaints lack merits. She has unrealistic expectations on communications and service rendering.

    Respectfully,

    ***********************************

I am rejecting this response because:

I must affirmatively state that the narrative presented in this response does not accurately reflect my experience and is misleading. Contrary to the claims made, no updates were provided to me regarding the status of my tax decree application under the Puerto Rico Tax Incentives Code (Act 60, 2019, as amended). Furthermore, there was no mention of appropriate forms of communication. In fact, no initial communication was established to even discuss their hours of operation or preferred methods of contact. This lack of communication extended beyond the submission of the tax decree application; after the work was purportedly completed, there was no mention of where the process stood. As a result, I was left completely in the dark, not knowing the current status of my application or what to expect next.
The assertion that I have been sending numerous emails, texts, and making calls outside of business hours, thus causing undesirable issues, is inaccurate. Without clear communication on preferred contact methods or updates on the progress of my application, it's unreasonable to claim that my attempts to seek information were unwarranted or excessive. The necessity to reach out through various means was driven by the absence of information and guidance from your firm.
The description of my actions and expectations as causing issues and being unrealistic is not only untrue but also disregards the fundamental issue of inadequate communication and update from your side. I was left without knowledge of the application's progress or an understanding of the expected timelines beyond the initial submission, despite the claims of having explained the process.

    Sincerely,

    *********************
