On April 10, 2024 I purchased a 2012 ****** Pathfinder from International Horsepower. In August 11, 2024 the control arm broke while driving almost causing an accident. Had it towed to an independent car repair shop and was told it was not repairable due to the subframe being completely rotted through. The car is a total loss. I paid $6000 cash for the vehicle. I had it towed to International Horsepower where is sat for three weeks. Was notified today that the car was in fact not repairable. They are taking no responsibility and refuse to give my money backInitial Complaint

On July 20, 2024, I purchased a used vehicle from International Horsepower Auto Sales in **************, **. After bringing the car home, my husband googled any recalls on the vehicle. He found 2 recalls and called a dealership to schedule bringing it in. The dealership did the recall work, no issues. We asked the dealership to take a look at the vehicle, if they had time, to see if there were any mechanical issues. The mechanic called and said there was a cracked cv joint (axle boot), an issue with the "bushing" that made the steering wheel pull to the right, would need an alignment and the belt tensioner was loose. Total pricing to fix these issues would be between $2000-$3000!!! I spent $6500 on the purchase of this vehicle, which included registration/plates and a one month warranty. The owner showed me invoices of the "small amount of parts needed" to fix up the car and that it had "just past inspection". So I'm curious as to HOW this car passed inspection with almost $3000 needing to be done to it. I called International Horsepower to see what they would do, as it has been less than a week, and he said "bring me the quote from that dealership, and we'll see if we have the parts or order them and you can bring the car back here, we'll fix it if we can and that he would SPLIT THE COST of parts, repairs and labor with me". Upon purchase, I was told we had a one month warranty. It's been 5 days, today is July 25, 2024. There is no customer service from these people. They are looking to make a quick **** and when issues arise, they talk in circles, contradict themselves when I pushed on certain topics and blatantly lied about the warranty, the car and the entire purchase, which cost me $6,500.00!!!Initial Complaint

On 7-14-2023, my very naive daughter was sold a car that has a sunroof that leaks, a warning beep, had lousy brakes, and leaked oil. ****** told her to take the car to his mechanic and have the oil changed. He said then the beeping would stop. She did and the beeping started 20 minutes into her ride home. She was told to bring it back to mechanic and he would fix it. But, she'd have to leave her car. Needless to say, this back and forth went on past 30 day warranty. She works over 40 hours a week and couldn't keep bringing it in. My daughter has a mental illness and has been suicidal because of this. She's 32, but looks 17. ****** took one look at her and saw dollar signs in his eyes and sold her a car that wouldn't have passed inspection even though the sticker said it had.Business response

I am writing to seek your intervention in a matter concerning a vehicle I purchased, which involves a breach of warranty and possible consumer fraud. My mother and I purchased a 2014 Jaguar XJL on 10/2 from the seller International Horsepower via an online website *********. The vehicle has 65k miles and comes with a 30 day/1000 mile warranty on engine and transmission. Within two weeks of the purchase and a couple hundred miles, I notice a loud ticking noise emanating from the engine as well as a large amount of coolant loss. I promptly emailed the seller on 10/11 regarding this concern including ******* videos that explicitly showcased the pronounced engine noise. My initial communication was disregarded for three business days. When I reached out to ********* for assistance, they prompted a response from the seller, likely due to the seller's interest in maintaining their selling privileges on the platform. The seller then gives me a runaround for weeks, first telling me to drive the car in this condition for 2 hours to the seller for inspection, then tells me to get it inspected in my area, then asks me to bring it back to them, etc Then after support from *********, the seller has the car transported to their place. Shortly after they respond saying their Shady mechanic friend (history can be read on ****** reviews) found nothing wrong and told me to pick up the car as it is. I ask for what diagnostics mechanic performed and if the engine sound is gone and they provide no explanation and say nothing wrong with the car. After back and forth, the car is dropped off at AAMCO near the seller and AAMCO deems the supercharger needs to be replaced at a cost of over $5000. I send the seller this estimate to which the seller responds The car passed inspection and we dont fix things that arent broken yet, nothing else we can do ''. I tried to resolve this issue politely but the seller continues to dishonor the warranty.Customer response

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. They collected fees and taxes for the vehicle to submit to the registry for when they apply for registration and title.45 days later The registry sent me a letter threatening to cancel my registration because the dealership never submitted any paperwork to them regarding this vehicle. They never paid the sales tax or applied for our registration. I cannot drive the car legally now and I have no way to register it. With the previous title and vinccheck i could register it myself...and repay the taxes) which this company has but will not provide to me. If I had the previous title and the Vin check I would be happy to register this vehicle myself. It is unclear whether or not they actually applied for the title to this car. I just need the paperwork to register it.Business response

Purchased 2009 Jeep Wrangler on 9/19/21 for $12,988 which was the full listed price from International Horsepower Auto Sales Dealership said the vehicle had clean Carfax report and had never been involved in an accident. I was presented with a false and misleading Carfax report that showed the CarFax value to be $14,170 After purchasing the vehicle I had another dealership run the CarFax report which showed a reported accident from 9/24/2018 and the actual market value being $8,110. I have called the dealership and spoke with Lexi who is the office manager and reported this to them. She told me someone would get back to me. I have since called and emailed them several times and no one will return my call. The actual value of the vehicle was misrepresented and the value is much less than what I paid for the vehicle due to the reported accident that was not disclosed to me. This is a deceptive sales practice. I have requested that they purchase the vehicle back from me or allow me to exchange it for another vehicle and they will not respond
