Checked in to the hotel early the staff were very accommodating. We were super tired from traveling they put us in a double bed room which we aren't very picky we went to lay down the bed was all wet so we laid in the other bed we didn't need two anyway. Went to get in the shower the shower curtain was moldy there was half a bar of soap sitting there so there is no way the room was properly cleaned and there was blood on the bathroom floor behind the door as if that wasn't enough went to turn the TV on it wouldn't turn on I go to look behind the dresser to see if it was plugged in and wow what do I find **** and a dirty diaper! We wanted to stay here a couple days I told staff all the issues she was immediately sending someone to take care of all the problems but wouldn't even consider giving us a discount on the next night! She just walked into my lobby. This is the conversation......... So she came down this morning around 9 am and said she had to go get the money to pay. We informed her that check out is at 11am. It got to be 130 and still no payment. I as a manager had her packed up in which the room only contained a few things. She come into lobby screaming that someone took her weed and grinder and her tampons. First off we do not keep any drug found in room and she got what was in the room. It is in her folio notes and i have on camera her saying that weed grinder and tampons was missing.Initial Complaint

This hotel had horrendous conditions on safety, health concerns, and have effectively stolen my money. I planned a trip through ******* to stay here for 3 days. I fly in, drive an additional 50 minutes to get to the Inn. Pictures are deceiving and I felt like I was catfished. After entering the disgusting hotel room, we found the following things: Smell of moldy/uncleaned AC, holes in curtains, missing security bolt (I had even purchased some safety precautions such as a door stop ahead of time. The door was raised to make my purchase pointless.) so all we had for security was the door lock, unplugged lamps/phone, a disgusting microwave and mini fridge that were probably cleaned last 3 months ago (being generous), grime/miscellaneous spots on the desk. The floor has markings from wear and tear and was not mopped in months as well, there was plastic bags from the previous guest, literal cobwebs on the ceiling, (this sounds fake but I have it on camera) a spaghetti noodle hanging on top of the wall on the bathroom vanity, either boogers or feces were on the bathroom floor, either a rust stain/fecal stain on the door, shower curtain looked like it held mold on the bottom, bathtub looked like it was from saw and 3 months overdue for a scrub, the bathroom towel racks were TEXTURED in rust. (The rust was rusting.) Unclean air ducts and more cobwebs were in the bathroom. Lastly insects littered the bathroom light. I have all of this on a 3 minute video or screenshots. All have been shared with ******* and the property has kept three days payment when we were there for maybe five hours. (Out of desperation we had to stay there for five hours. They couldn’t switch us to a clean room after we waited for five hours so we checked out. They will not return our scratch, not even for the two days away from property.) This property is not safe, does not care about guests, and is scummy beyond words. I would love a proper email to send my documentation, I can’t add it on the site.Business response

** ****** was in room 160. He only paid $165.60. This is one of our new furniture rooms and the reservation was made for three days. I will give refund to him for the $165.60 that he paid but his saying he paid more than that is just not telling the truth. I have refunded because I want to make things goodInitial Complaint

Checked into this room and paid $63 for it on ******* it was supposed to be a double bed non-smoking they told me they didn't have no doubles put me in a room with a king bed smoking the curtains is falling down to comforter was dirty bathroom had hair there's a popsicle paper stuck to the front of the air conditioner there was no light bulbs in the lamps I asked to be moved she told me she couldn't move me even though she just got done moving people two doors down from where I was they told me they went no more rooms available almost every room on that floor was empty with curtains open nearly renovated I feel like they put me in the nastiest room they had and I do feel like it was personal because the last time I stayed there there was an incident and me and my boyfriend went to jail and housekeeper still everything we owned and what they didn't want they just pushed through front they allowed somebody else to stay in our room but I mean I just want my money back I don't think it's right that anybody should be able to treat somebody that way I do feel like there's a problem in management housekeeping is lousy in the front desk clerk have bad attitudes somebody should seriously look into this business because of the way it's been ran they definitely bully people this place needs to be under New ManagementBusiness response

We booked through ******* and the pictures online are totally false - the curtains had holes, the bedspreads were dirty, the floor was dirty, the toilet was leaking, the walls were cruddy. They said that I couldn't get a refund because I stayed in the room. I stayed in the room because we had a power outage due to a storm.. we checked out before 6 am. From what the motel was 10 years ago to now, it has totally run down. Even if I don't get the full refund something would be nice. I even got sick after staying here - it went from a viral infection, to COVID, to bronchitis and because I posted my sickness on my ******** they are using that against me but I started complaining to them before I even I got sick about the conditions of the room. When we checked out the girl working was asleep on the couch and you had to bang on the door to get your $20 back - it's not like I got a remote to give them the $20.Customer response

Horizon Hotels of Anderson,SC has false advertisement on their website - their rooms look nothing like the pictures. I was put in a room with dirty bedspreads, holes in the curtains, dirty floors, leaky toilets, and I asked for some sort of compensation and was told no refund that I stayed in the roomBusiness response

****** ****** stayed with us and said she got covid from staying in the room. We disinfect our room daily and Covid is everywhere so how can she just pinpoint "THE ROOM" She has slandered us so bad saying she got covid from here.Customer response

That room was not disinfected because I promise you the bedspreads were dirty and the curtains had holes in them - the floors were dirty. I had split some water in the floor and used one of their towels to wipe the water up and the towels was black when I got through - THERE'S NO WAY ALL THEM ROOMS ARE CLEANED DAILY!! I left that room before 6 am because either couldn't sleep good and would rather be at home with no power than in that room.Business response

I am just saying that you are claiming covid never complained about room being nasty to front desk. You can catch covid any where
