    I contracted with Graybar to build a residential fence on 8/25/2023, and I sent a $4000 deposit for materials. Graybar cashed my check on 8/29/2023. Since then, Graybar has repeatedly failed to install the fence or to give me any firm date for installation. I have contacted them at least weekly since early October 2023, and as of early November I asked for my deposit to be returned. I need the fence for insurance purposes and also to contain my pet, and was told upon contracting with Graybar that installation would be within a few weeks.Their response, when they do respond, is to provide vague excuses about scheduling conflicts or non-specific promises to complete the work "next week" or "in a few days" or "soon". Repeated promises to return my calls go unfulfilled. I have spoken to or emailed their office personnel several times, and repeatedly texted with the owner. The owner, I'm told, runs all the business decisions and his office staff have no power to provide information or make anything happen. I have a long text chain to document the exchanges with and broken promises of the owner.

    On 12/13 I received a check for **** from Graybar Fence.  This is the complete amount of my deposit.  I deposited the check on the same day, and the funds show as available in my bank account.  I believe this should resolve my complaint.  Thanks for your assistance.

    We paid $20,657 as the 50% down payment for a project 10 months ago. After they kept delaying the project, they finally cancelled the contract 6 months ago saying they didn't have enough staff. In the last 6 months, ******** **** has given every excuse in the book for why we have received the deposit refund. We now can't reach him at all as no one picks up any of the phone numbers associated with them or responds to any of the emails associated with them. We need this amount refunded.

    ******** and this company installed a fence in the summer of 2021. After a few months we noticed a substantial amount of water in our yard. We had a company come out and discovered that they had drilled through a main drain line in our yard. I contacted ******** with photos and emails. He came to inspect it and said they would cover all damages which totaled $700. In January of 2022 the company sent us a invoice saying it had not been paid. I again contacted ******** and he said it would be paid the next day. It’s now been 6 months and numerous calls and emails and still no resolution. I spoke with him three times over the last two days and he constantly tells me he will call me back. He is the most dishonest and disrespectful person I have ever dealt with in my life.

    May 2020: We had a hickory tree fall on our chain link fence and we needed a section replaced. The owner ******** **** came to our house 6-4-2020 and gave us a written estimate of $800.00 for #2 24' sections of 3 foot chain link fence on either side of a small deck. Numerous times that year and early 2021 I called and even went by the office at least 2-3 times to find out why we were not being scheduled. At first there were excuses abut supply chain and Covid and we understood that and were patient. A year later and nothing was happening and we saw fencing supplies at his business. October 7, 2021 MR ******** **** comes out again - prices have gone up and the exact same project will now cost us $1,300. We understood. "We will schedule you soon." Months passed. Didn't hear anything from them. My husband calls and calls. During Summer to the end of 2021 we were actually given dates they would come and fix the damaged section of fence at least 3 times - cold have been more. We are at home on these dates - waiting - they do not show up - no phone call - no email - NOTHING. We did get one call weeks after one appointment where Mr **** said there was a fence at Sun City Hilton Head that needed fixing but if that was the case they should have let us know they were not coming. June 2022 I stopped by their office and let the staffer there know how unhappy I was - It has been 2 years and we have NOT HAD OUR FENCE REPAIRED AS PROMISED NUMEROUS TIMES Here it is July 8, 2022 and Mr **** has still not called us. I live off the ****** ***** and we need the fence to keep our grandchildren and dogs in the yard and aligators out of the yard. If he had no intention of doing the fence repair why did he not tell us >2 years ago? Why promise us numerous times that they were coming and never show up? My husband had metastatic cancer and is now on Hospice. Mr. **** knew how sick he was. This has added misery and worry. We want an apology and our fence fixed.!
