Cleaning Authority quoted me 2-4 hours (up to $400) for a clean out of the condo which is in line with other clean out services. Instead they charged me $900 but did not actually work 9 hours and broke a pottery barn chandelier and stripped my wood floors-both far exceeding the amount charged for cleaning. The two workers were in tears about destroying everything and said the owner was on vacation but that he would reimburse the $1000 for the chandelier plus the floor repair. Much of the time was spent not cleaning but instead trying to repair damage, on the phone with management, taking breaks to eat/drink and then loading some stuff I gave the workers like clothes and plants and such. Instead two weeks later the owner said they would give me $125 and charged me 9 hours of cleaning-$942 He said he was fully insured but must not be and didn't even try to file a claim. They do not deserve an A rating. I request my cleaning fee back and damages paid. Sincerely, Jennifer L*****

This was a move out "one-time-cleaning" scheduled on Saturday July 1.  The customer was still in the process of moving out while our team was cleaning the home so this also caused some delays with cleaning some areas of the house.   The customer was home during the entire time of the cleaning which took all of 8.5 hours to clean thoroughly.   The customer approved the extended time to clean since she was present in the home.

The globe on the lamp broke while it was being dusted.  The customer advised the team to “not to worry about it”.   The team was upset about the breakage.

The team cleaned the inside of all the appliances.  The oven was cleaned.  The customer claimed we damage her hardwood floors with the oven cleaner.  (We have never had an issue with the oven cleaner we use.  I have tested the oven cleaner on hardwood floors and no damage to the wood or finish was present.      I explained to the customer that our cleaner if left on the floor for 30 minutes will not damage the wood.  The customer claimed our oven cleaner (ate into the wood itself).  I suspect  the grease running down the stove over time had damaged her floors.   There are other stain marks in front of the oven indicating there had been other harsh spills in the past.

I did offer her some compensation ($125) for the broken globe on the light fixture.
