Owner was very pushy and unprofessional. Had my vehicle 3 weeks and didn’t want to fix what the warranty company was willing to pay for. Texting my phone after hours on the weekend. I told the supposed to be owner the texting was unprofessional and she rudely told me to get my vehicle off their property.Martin's Motorworx Response

Hi! I have copy and pasted all of the Texting correspondence with the customer indicating her statement is inaccurate. I also have video of how rude she was coming into the shop on September 23rd. We also did not charge her for the 3 separate inspections we performed nor the compression testing nor all the time I spent with her and her mother and the warranty company on the phone. Mrs. N**'s rude behavior is why we won't do work for her. 8/30/2024 8:19 AM To 'Shannon N**': Hi! We have looked over the Yukon and found Cylinder #7 has a misfire. We would need to remove the valve cover and perform a compression check on the cylinders before proceeding. The engine itself could have lifter or camshaft failure. Total would be $309.82. There is No compression on cylinder #7 and the rocker arm is loose and lifter failed and damaged the cam shaft. This is a very common issue. There is metal in the engine oil! Called ********* again at 2:34pm. Informed them this is the same diag from the beginning. Had to leave vm for Christian on his vm. 9/17/2024 3:56 PM To 'Shannon N**': Christian called and said the Inspector was shown the collapsed lifter on cylinder #7. I told him the Inspector could have asked to see anything. He said this vehicle was driven in and they will only pay for the cause of failure and not an engine replacement. They would pay for lifters and cams and the customer can use that towards the engine replacement. He said due to continued operation the engine is not covered. I have called in the massive amount of parts that would be needed to replace the camshaft and 1 lifter on cylinder #7. The total ticket for just this is $6947.85. I am also inquiring to the pricing for the engine - new and used to see what the pricing difference is. I should hear back from the adjuster this afternoon. The warranty company called back and it only willing to cover $5,912.05. They are not covering an actuator or valve or the compression testing or the 2nd and 3rd diagnosis. That would leave you responsible for $925.80 (including $100 deductible) and there is NO guarantee this will fix the issues with the vehicle. I will need to check with Randy to see if he wants to do just the cam and lifter because we are 98% sure it won't help it and it will be stuck on the lift and you will be without your vehicle even longer. 9/20/2024 2:11 PM To 'Shannon N**': Just because you drove your vehicle to the shop should not exclude coverage for the engine replacement. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, I get it won't completely f** me issues but I can't afford this already so I have to do what I have to do, as long as I drive off the way I drove in I'll deal with the rest, I paid for the transmission out of my own pocket in March, endurance didn't pay for that, I'll be switching warranty company when this is done 9/20/2024 2:24 PM From 'Shannon N**': Martins is about to get almost $7,000 for the work to be done as long as that part is done correctly I'll deal with ********* myself, I don't know what my truck being stuck on a lift means, but I want to drive my truck away the way I drove it in. I understand your frustration and it is not about the money we would receive. We want to make sure the vehicle is fixed correctly the first time. The truck being stuck on the lift means if the 30+ hours it takes a Tech to do the work and then we crank the vehicle and there is another issue on another cylinder or two. Then, it is on the lift for another long period of time waiting for the warranty company and not being able to utilize that lift for work. 9/21/2024 12:52 PM To 'Shannon N**': I work with warranty companies everyday and we don't do work with ********* due to the issues we are dealing with your vehicle. It is our normal business practice to replace an engine when instances occur like this which is why we mentioned an engine replacement from the beginning. If you're not comfortable fixing what they are paying you to fix, then I could have taken it somewhere else. Trust me I appreciate what you're trying to do, but it's not getting us anywhere.
