I agree about the right increases. They are insane. I can’t believe that Broad River gets away with this.. I recently had my power bill come due and did not have enough funds to pay. I called in and ask could I pay them both the next month October was due on the 10th and then November would be due this 10th. I got up this morning and my power is turned off and it’s 5 November I called in to ask what was going on I was told that it was cut off due to nonpayment and I explained to the lady had spoken to someone last month and made arrangements and they said it would be fine. The lady then wanted to know who I spoke with. I don’t know I didn’t get the ladies name that’s my mistake that was over the phone. I have never had that happen through Broad River or any other Power company I mean literally hollering was just a unbelievable thing I’ve dealt with out of the Broad River and not unreasonable employees are unprofessional and rude and something should be done about it. I had to pay a reconnect fee when it’s not even the 10th of this coming month, which would make me two months due OK but it’s not the 10th yet it’s only the fifth and my power was turned off this morning. Plus, there’s no Broad River office anywhere near me. The closest one is like 35 minutes away and they charge me four dollars each month extra and I have two power bills through them so that’s eight dollars a month they get out of me. For the convenience of paying on the phone, I mean, does Broad River not have enough money? That’s a joke.

This coop feels more like a mafia then a not-for-profit power company. There new rate is not only confusing but robbery. We used less power last 3 months then the same time last year yet paying 20-30% more.

We just moved here their rates are outrageous we got told we have no choice but to go with this ****** company so we are but you're not going to hear the end of it from us outrageous power bills in the winter The people in the office are completely rude and could care less we just moved here I knew nothing about a deposit and when she told me I needed a deposit she kind of gave me stink face when I told her nobody told me anything about that and she said well that's how it is completely unacceptable I hope this company gets a million bad reviews so something will be done about their ****** service
