SCTH is a scam. Had the most horrible experience ever. Owner is a ***** ,wanna be punk . When I posted a review on his website, he called me up asking if I didn't read the contract I signed. He said It says that nobody can post a negative review . If I don't move review in 5 minutes, his attorney will call me and take me to court . The most horrible place ever

This place is terrible. We saw no hogs, food was sub-par, lodging was sub-par and terrible owner interaction. We called after our bad experience and they refused to return our calls.yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Horrible place to go. Over booked and no animals. Was actually 1 of the 10 hunters that ******* k mentioned in a previous post. Our guide even told us they over book it. Price is cheap but you pay too much for what you get. Guides are glad to take you to Georgia and shoot deer at night or run deer over with the other guides truck. We were there in what was said to be best time in mid October. From other reviews I dont think they have any good time. Stand are run down and never saw the bait piles they claim to put out. Food was ok if you like a hamburger with gravy on it. The other hunters we met were fun guys but other then that the place is a scam. One last thing is there lodge needs a lot of updating

Booked an early March hog ****, two **** days, for my group of four. The house/lodge we stayed at was comfortable and clean. **************, the house mother, is a wonderful **** (her fried chicken is amazing), took great care of the house, and made sure we all felt welcomed. Our guide, Hunter, was friendly, helpful, and punctual about drop-off and pick-up times. The weather during our **** was a mix of sun/clouds and slightly warmer than average for that time of year but not significantly so.Going into this we were all aware that this is a free-range **** and opportunities on animals were subject to factors outside the control of the outfitter. At the time we booked we were told that SCTH enjoyed a very high success rate during the time we would be hunting. Per the owner there is little natural food during that time and the hogs go to where the bait is. If you can shoot, we will get you on a hog. There were six hunters total in camp and over a two-day period we hunted over bait (corn) morning (in the stands by 5am) and late afternoon into evening (*****pm to 1030-11pm). We all had predator green lights and/or low light night scopes on our firearms. Out of the six hunters, there was only one hog sighting when two small hogs appeared for a brief second and ran across a narrow cut well over 200+ yards away. None came to the bait. The main reason you book with an outfitter on a **** like this is to provide you with the best opportunity to harvest an animal. I gave SCTH a 3 out of 5 because the lodge staff is wonderful and made for a very pleasant stay, but I feel that they mislead us about the opportunity to harvest a hog. SCTH does harvest some very nice animals (check out their FB), but their success rate, at least during early spring, seems to be much lower than what they like to advertise.
