I purchased a 2018 ******* ****** from Goldn Automotive in Greer South Carolina. on 10-6-2023. I put down 4k and additional 880 to pay my first three months payment. Paul, the owner stated that I must pay three months in advance as a condition of this loan. On 10–21-23, the engine died in the car and it would not retain power. I called the dealer first he gave me the run around. So I called the finance company to void the contract. On 10-21-23, the finance company advised me to tow the unit back to the dealer because they would not finance a car with engine problems within two weeks. To void the contract, the dealer must confirm they have the unit. The dealer has been closed since this incident and they want answer mine nor the finance company calls. The dealer lied about the down payment that he want return and he want return the vehicle which will result in a possible repossion on my credit. How do I receive my money back and how do I force the dealer to speak to the finance company. Also on the car fax it stated the car had not been in accident and upon further inspection it had been in accident. Which if that had been disclosed would have lowered feb value of the car. I need to report the dealership for fraud!

We value our consumers and every car on our lot is thoroughly checked for mechanical issues prior to sale to any customers. In reference to the complaint by Ms. ****, there are several details which are fictious and untrue. On Oct 6 2023, Ms. **** did purchase a 2018 ******* ****** which she test drove on Oct 2, 2023 with owner, Paul in the car with her. At the time of the test drive, she expressed that the car was in great condition and that she only wanted that Hyundai none of the other vehicles on the lot. On Oct 4, 2023, she returned with all the required documentation required to submit to the finance company. The validity of some of her documentation was questioned, and Ms. **** had to supply additional documentation. She was advised that the vehicle must have full coverage car insurance and she attempted to use **** *********, Pay-as-you-go-car-insurance. She was unable to get full coverage so she had a friend add the car to his policy for her. She was told at that time that she must keep full coverage insurance on the vehicle. She was identified as an high risk customer.  She was also offered a service plan and GAP coverage for the vehicle which she declined. She signed the buyer's guide which advised that the car is purchased " As - Is" with no warranty. On Oct 6, 2023, she returned for pick up of the vehicle but in order for her to get the tags and registration Paul went to the DMV with her. He went to 2 DMV locations to get this process completed and the locations were 45 mins apart. Ms.**** drove the car and never complained of any issues nor problems at all. Ms.**** made contact with us on Oct 10, 2023, stating that she found documentation in the car saying the car had head gasket issues which was not valid. (Documentation attached above) This documentation was not for the vehicle due to the date it has the car was at our lot for sale in Greer, SC. On Oct 21, 2023 she made contact to us again to ask of her car payment due date ( photo attached). During this communication never stating that the car was not working on this day. On Oct 22, 2023, she made contact saying that the car stopped working while she was driving it on this day. Then she stated that the car was being towed to ********* for check. We requested for the documentation from ********* to validate the claims but customer refused to provide this documentation. She also made contact to *********** but never provided any documentation either but she advised ************ that the car was in the shop the entire weekend from Oct 20-22, 2023. She called us on Oct 22 and she was driving the vehicle. ************ has been in constant communication with us in reference to this matter every step pf the way contrary to what Ms. **** is stating. Ms.**** states that the car was towed back to our lot but the car was driven to our lot by someone due to it was perfectly parked facing the building. There is no way a tow truck placed the car in this exact position. The car was driven upon return and there are no issues with this vehicle. This is merely a situation to which Ms. **** has had a change of heart and wants out of her contractual obligation with *********** *******. Unfortunately, no refund or any further accommodations can be made in this matter. No further communication will be made with the consumer either due to threats and verbal attacks made by customer.
