05/30/23 I went to look at a few different cars the one I originally wanted (ford fusion) I went to start and it would not crank max (the owner) said it had been sitting for awhile and probably just needed a jump he went and got a jump starter box and “mechanic” (far from) and neither of them could figure out exactly how to use the jump starter my dad ended up showing them. After several minutes and then several attempts it finally cranked however would not stay running unless I gave it a little gas and as soon as I let off gas it would shut off again, I looked at a 2013 VW Passat and (at 8pm) looked really nice, he said the car was in great condition NOTHING WRONG WITH IT and that he had driven it himself after he bought it (all other negative reviews say he said the same thing) and he was going to help me out and give me a good deal plus cover the taxes and tags because the car I originally looked at “needed a new battery” (now I wonder what was really wrong with it) We agreed to 8k, I put a 3K downpayment (sent by cashapp) and 250.00 Bi weekly payments.. he printed out a paper tag and I left. The next morning I looked at it and noticed the hood was slightly a different black and there was overspray on the windshield and brushed it off, THEN 4 DAYS after buying the check engine light came on so most likely used a OBD Scanner to clear code temporarily until cars computer registered the problem again so he could make a better sale…I took it to auto zone and it was throwing a code for a bad EVAP leak detection pump module.. (along with another due to a recall) Soo I started looking online and found out the car had a salvaged/rebuilt Title WHICH WAS NOT EVER DISCLOSED TO ME, Car was totaled NOT ONCE BUT TWICE & IN 4 ACCIDENTS. when asked to please send me the ******, he said I was happy when I left the lot & it was sold as is no refunds, and my payment of 300$ (NOT WHAT WE AGREED TO) was due or he would shut the car off while I’m driving in the road and repossess it..

I just moved to Summerville, SC yesterday, 06/26/22, and went to return my uhaul to the designated return location of Max Auto Sales, LLC at 2:45pm. They closed at 4:30 so I wanted to get there beforehand to make sure everything was good. Upon driving up, the lot was a mess of used cars and uhaul. My fiancé backed the uhaul into the back of the lot, and we both went to the front where we were greeted by a worker. His first comment was about if we hit his mustang on the way to park. He opened the front door of the uhaul, looked in and said everything is clean. Looked in the back and said ok you have a furniture dolly then said we were good to go. I mentioned the uhaul tire system light being on and that the pick up location said it was fine. He said, of course you're trying to save your ass. I don't blame you. He shook my fiancés hand and started asking about tattoos and showed his. He talked about how his birthday was the next day and his 3 daughters. Overall we thought it went well. At 5:28pm I received a bill for cleaning fee and after hour service fee with a total of $47.25. My fiancé called around 10am this morning and mentioned he dropped off a uhaul and the guy said it was a different location, hung up, then refused to answer any more of his calls after that. I called and he answered and said the same thing. That it was not his business, when the number is clearly stated on my uhaul receipt, and told me it was another location down the road. Uhaul has 65 complaints on this location of this business scamming people and wrongly charging them. They need to be shut down.
