I recently moved across the country, and Planet Van Lines made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable! From the very first phone call to the final delivery, their team showed professionalism, care, and attention to detail that exceeded my expectations. The booking process was seamless, and the customer service team was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions and providing clear guidance. On moving day, the crew arrived on time and worked quickly but carefully, handling all my belongings as if they were their own. They wrapped and packed everything meticulously, ensuring nothing was damaged or lost. What really stood out to me was their commitment to keeping me updated throughout the entire move. I knew exactly where my items were at every stage, and they delivered right on scheduleno surprises, just excellent service. The rates were competitive, and the peace of mind they provided was worth every *****. If you're looking for a moving company that combines professionalism, reliability, and top-notch customer service, look no further than **********************! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle-free, trustworthy move.Thank you, Planet Van Lines, for making my move so easy!Review from Emmanuel A

By far the worst customer service ever. They are a total scam and rip off. From the owners all the way down the chain. They steal, damage, break your belongings. I have many texts showing they have are belongings. They quote you 1 price and then get to your house and raise it a substantial amount, leaving you with take it or leave it and they keep your deposit. The insurance is a joke also. This company should not be able to do business. I have plenty of texts and emails and pictures to validate my claims. The owner ******* and employee got into a huge argument during the packing process. They come hungover to the *******, not show up on time, outsource the driving, wont give you address of storage facility, in order to go pick up your belongings after they advise they would deliver. They delivered items to wrong address and not fix itReview from Michael R

Planet Van Lines is a broker and they contract with various delivery services. Like so many others, this was not clear when booking. We now know the names of the other companies, but even on its paperwork, they don't list who actually does the deliveries. Unfortunately, the subcontractors did not sticker our items and three pieces of furniture are destroyed. There is no one person from Planet Van Lines who was willing to get on the phones with all the dispatches for the trucks to immediately help ** file a claim. It is a soulless experience. This must happen all the time because it was a robot, angry and defensive response from customer service. I wish I had read these reviews before booking with Planet Van Lines. Do not do business with this company. We are contacting the ************** DA to file a complaint.Review from Subie

What everyone else said. Moved my daughter across the country and the price almost doubled from the quote to the final delivery. The salesperson I spoke to was so friendly and helpful and I thought we were in good hands. When they came to load up they had a Budget truck. Charged me a lot of money to pack a few items of my daughter's--guitars, long boards, a few other sport items. The driver argued with me that half of the few furniture pieces were not included in the quote. BS. Her stuff arrived two weeks after we expected it. Calls to customer service were futile. The only agent I ever spoke to hung up on me twice--once when I said she wasn't being helpful and once when I asked to speak to someone else. On delivery, the truck was 5 hours late. The delivery truck was a pickup with a trailer hitched to the back. They refused to unload until I paid a long carry charge to a third party that was not mentioned in my contract. at 9 pm on a Friday night. They have lost two of her guitars that they packed, broke a large mirror that they charged me extra to pack as well as her bike helmet. So far... It's been an expensive, stressful nightmare. Hate hate hate this company.Review from Sarah S

Planet Van Lines is a broker and they contract with various delivery services. That was not clear when booking. I now know the names of the other trucks, but even on its paperwork, they don't list who actually does the deliveries. Unfortunately, the subcontractors did not sticker our items and three invaluable family heirlooms that are sentimental and irreplaceable are now floating around on a truck somewhere. Had to call an entirely different company to fill out a form with **********.***. There is no one person from Planet Van Lines who was willing to get on the phones with all the dispatches for the trucks to immediately help us find our items. It is a soulless experience. This must happen all the time because it was a robot, angry and defensive response from customer service. I wish I had read these reviews before booking with Planet Van Lines.Review from Thomas J

This company is very bad and should not be in business. When we called to hire it hey had a "car salesman" type person who was only interested in how much money he could get from us. After we hired it, the salesman only contacted us to get the rest of the money, but when we called to find out anything about our belongings, they would not tell us anything. We finally talked to customer service and were told they were transferring our belongings to another truck, a different company name, then later told us they were waiting for an 18-wheel truck to bring the stuff to us, but were looking for a driver. Not once did they disclose to us when we hired them that they were going to transfer our belonging to different trucks or companies, Hopefully when and if they get here our stuff would be intact and complete. We absolutely do not trust this company and want everyone to know they are unreliable, they lie and the they charge too much. They charged $600.00 more than what THEY ESTIMATED, EVEN THOUGH THE NUMBER OF BOXES WE sent should have replaced the furniture that we decided not to send with them originally. Please beware of Planet Van Lines.Review from Kristyn P

Similar to the reviews below, we recently relocated from Chicago to Florida and had a horrible experience with Planet Van Lines. Marty and Nick sold us on a bunch of lies. The quotes they provided (after numerous phone calls to review inventory) was nowhere close to the amount we owed the day of the pick up. We owed almost an additional $3,000. It's the day of our move, we have to be out of our apartment, we had no choice but to pay. As others stated, they are a third party and contract with other moving company who creates price the day of the move. Oh, and if you have to move your items 75 feet from the door to the truck, there's additional fees -- so beware. The Planet Van Lines customer Service is HORRIBLE. Every time I called to check status of our delivery, or to inquire about the error in move estimate, Alissa (Customer Service Rep) made it seem like it was an absolute inconvenience to be speaking with me. I asked multiple times for a manager to call me back, and no one ever called. I sent follow up calls and texts to Marty and Nick -- again, no response. I certainly hope they record these calls to listen to the way they speak to their customers, They should be ashamed. Based on the comments below, I would be inclined to see if there are any grounds for a class action lawsuit on this company. Not only was our estimate nowhere close to total amount paid, our items came weeks after promised delivery date, items were broken, ruined (they did not wrap mattresses and they were soaked) or missing. Do not trust these people.Review from Alma M

It is a company that does not tell the truth, they damaged all my furniture, they stole it, they gave me a quote and then they increased the price more. They charged me an amount for putting my furniture, one part in my apartment and another part in a storage room, and they left everything in the storage room and they also kept that money and did not return it to me. It is a very bad company, do not hire it because they are going to scam you.Review from Nancy A

I signed a contract with Planet Van Lines (who did not advertise themselves as a broker) in October of 2021 to move my belongings out of state. A date was set but I had to move the date up and gave them a few weeks' notice. When the time came, I was told they were unable to find drivers, and no one came until about two weeks after the scheduled date for pickup. A driver from ** ****** ******** arrivedit was already a week past my move out date. After he loaded the truck, he said I went over the allotted space and said I owed $1,112.90. I knew according to my contract this was not to be done but what could I do? Have him put everything back in the apartment? So I wrote the check. As I could not be at my house on the day of delivery, I had a friend accept shipment. The driver was confused about what was to be delivered to me, my friend said. He apparently had no inventory list. Upon my arrival I discovered they lost my bed, my desk, my living room chairs, three tables, all my cookware and dinnerware, countless personal effects and moreso far I have accounted for over fifty items. In addition, many of the things they delivered were damaged. I also received several things that were not mine. (I am now caretaker for them,) When I filed a claim against ** ****** ********* they took it back from the company that handles them, and said nothing to me. I called customer service at Planet Van Lines and was told to file a claim. In the process of negotiation on that but their initial offer I rejected.
I did not contract with ** ****** ******** but Planet Van Lines chose them to move my things. Upon a complaint against Planet Van Lines, they declined responsibility. I told them my loss is on them as they contracted with this disrerputable company (see complaints against ** ****** ********* and they misled me as to who would take custody of my belongings. Once Planet Van Lines got my money they were nowhere to be found.
