STAY AWAY FROM MUSE REALTY! Muse Realty managed property for 3.5 years. They are not honest people, and they don't care about your property.1. 1st tenant broke my kitchen counter top, and Muse Realty move-out inspection did not find out and let the tenant left. We found out this issue when the 2nd tenant moved out.2. 2nd tenant was using my residential house as his insurance agent office. The tenant set up 5- 6 work tables and had employees working in the house, and the tenants customers in and out the house/community. I could lose my house per the *** rule. My property is a residential rental instead of commercial rental. Muse Realty did not find out because Muse never check the tenant during rental period time like most of property management companies. Muse only checks when the rental contract ends.3. Muse Realty did not update /lower my house list price on MLS per my request. They only updated the new price on their company website. They did this on purpose because we were not happy for the broken kitchen counter top issue and argued with them. Because the VERY high rental price on MLS they listed, my house could not be rent out for 92 days during perfect rental season from 5/1/2023- -7/27/2023. So I changed property management company in August 2023, and my house is rent out within 9 days after listing!!!4. Muse Realty people were not fast to update my rental house price for 92 days, but they were so fast to update my rental house status on MLS on the same day when I told them I did not want them to manage my property. However, they lied on the **** my property showed" Closed" with a rental price when the status should be " Withdraw. My current property management company called Muse Realty and pointed out the mistakes, they refused to correct the wrong information. **** is trying to fool people that they can rent house out without any fails.STAY AWAY FROM MUSE REALTY!Muse Realty LLC Response

This is discernibly not true. 1.The granite countertop was sagging with a gap in **********, which we found during our inspection and reported to the owner. The owner speculated that the tenant stood on the bar to paint the ceiling, which the tenant denied. We did not charge the tenant, since we could not determine they caused this issue. Most likely, as we have experienced in the past, the settling resulted from ********** gap and gravity. 2.During the pandemic, annual inspections were suspended, unless there was a maintenance emergency, HOA violation or owner request. We did not receive any violations, notifications or request during this time. After the tenant moved out, the owner told us his neighbors concern. The previous tenant stated that he did work from home during Covid, although denied running a company from the home.3.The *** was updated with the rental price decrease and can be verified with a public search. We also updated our website, listing and software. There are some secondary websites that did not update appropriately. However, we explained to the owner that we do not have affiliation with the secondary websites, nor any inaccuracies or scams on them. We did contact a couple requesting the update their listing through their website to assist the best we could.4.The owner emailed to remove the property from the market the morning that the **** had a medical emergency. A staff member checking her email saw this and removed it from *** immediately. The **** contacted the *** to request a status change upon her return.Review from Teresia M

I would have liked to leave zero stars! I went to this place today after first calling to inquire about their process to view a property for rent. I was told to bring my ID and I could check out a key to view the property. No problem. I arrived there and was immediately dismissed but no problem I waited patiently. I explained to the rude lady behind the desk that I was there to view a property. She began to explain this lengthy process of telling me to complete an online application and check this; I will have to be approved before I can view the place. I would also have to pay a non-refundable application fee. I explained to her that I called prior to coming and was told to just bring my ID and check the key out. She said that wasnt there policy due to all the scamming. I expanded to her that Im not a scammer and thats an issue for local law enforcement. See the problem is when I called she probably thought I was white but when I showed up I was a black person. Clearly thats all she saw. She didnt uphold the integrity of the company by following their policy she decided to be discriminatory and state lies. Ive been renting for a long time and Ive never been told that you have to complete an application and be approved before you can view the space. Ive always viewed the space first then applied. This company is clearly racist and after reading the ****** reviews Im not the only black person that has experienced their discrimination. Please investigate fully this place and DONT RENT FROM THIS racist company!Muse Realty LLC Response

Muse Realty has a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination of any kind, and we apologize that you feel this way. We also have multicultural employees with backgrounds in the community, such as ************************* Fire, Healthcare and Social Work. The property you came in to view is marketed publicly as By Appointment Only as it has a shared entrance with other units. Our office policy, which is also publicly stated on our website, is to only allow viewings of By Appointment Only occupied and shared spaces home once an application is processed with background check. The application costs $30 and is non-refundable, as this is the cost of processing the application. To better help those that that apply, all approved applications are valid for 90 days and can be placed on other properties, which avoids individuals paying for additional applications. Our office manager was attempting to assist you to the best of her ability, within the scope of our office policy.Review from Derek S

Almost a month with out ** starting on the 6 of july the landlord has 14 days to make repairs. Now they will not reimburse me for the three weeks i had to leave because they didnt fix the ** until the 24th of july. It was completely unlivable due to the 95 atmosphere in the apartment. This is after we had a cdv at our residence and said we were responsible for the door the tenant broke that we tried putting them on to the lease but said "we wont mention anything about your other roommate" we spent 2 weeks out of our home and they forced us to pay for the door after telling us we had to have it approved by HOA. When we contacted HOA they said they dont even have Muse Realty LLC as a contact for the property meaning Muse was lying to us. And gave us 14 days to have the other unleased tenant out and the door repaired even our lawyer has said that was illegal for them to do. Also asked my lawyer concerning the ** and she said that i could with hold rent. Against my better judgement and fear of risking my credit i paid rent myself after both roommates moved. Paid it the same day i contacted them about my **. They have been completely ignoring thw state regulations on landlords obligations to make repairs under a 14 day limit.Muse Realty LLC Response

The air conditioning stopped working and the owner approved a vendor immediately for the repair who actively worked in good faith to restore the air conditioning as soon as possible. That being said, the law provides 30 days for non-essential services to be repaired in the *********** and the owner acted in good faith and it was repaired well within that time frame. The altercation between you, your roommate and unauthorized occupant resulted in the door being broken. In situations such as these, tenants are given a 14 day notice to repair the door or a vendor would do so at their expense. As well as to have the unauthorized occupant apply for approval or move out. You replaced the door and the occupant moved out within that time frame. Then we received a 30 day notice that you and your roommate would be leaving. You called in asking for more time and we were able to help you extend the notice till the end of the month. Muse Realty has gone above and beyond to assist.Review from Susan H

The Muse employees seem nice, but this property management company doesnt do what they promise. First, they assured us that their company was better than others because they screened their renters more thoroughly. Sadly, we ended up with nightmare renters! They destroyed our home with thousands of dollars in damage. This company didnt do any inspections while the renters lived in the home, so after a year, there was huge destruction, such as renters had a dog that left spots on the rug when it was a no pet policy. The rugs were completely destroyed with stains everywhere. They taped things on the walls and ceilings, so there had to be a complete repaint. They broke our fridge, stove and garbage disposal. They even had a bonfire in our back yard and burned some trees where fire trucks had to come. We were reimbursed only one months security, not even touching the repair costs. Muse claimed they couldnt locate the renters and the renters were never taken to court. Muse said the renters wages would garnished, and they money would be collected by a collection agency, Muse did none of that. The worst part was, once the renters moved out and we sold our house, Muse didnt follow up with us. We never heard from Muse again. The Muse employees seem nice, but I wanted to publicly tell our story and say BEWARE. I hope no one else has this terrible experience with this very disappointing, misleading, lying property management company.Muse Realty LLC Response

Muse Realty has well over 500 properties and the lowest eviction ratio by far, compared to any other management company in the area, due to our screening process. *****, we understand your disappointment with those tenants. They were fully vetted and approved. However, you can not screen someones morals. The tenant lived in the home for one year and were coming up to their annual inspection when they moved out. They had a non-approved pet, which is a violation of the lease. The security deposit was processed and sent to you for pay for a good percentage of the cost. The balance owed for the carpet and the paint are in active collections against the tenants credit at this time, with a respectable collection agency. You are able to take the tenants to court for a judgement, which we will assist with, if you prefer. However, the collection is active in the meantime. You will be updated when payment is received. Although the tenant was misleading and lying, Muse Realty never was. We fulfilled our duties and genuinely cared.
