I was driving down the street when steam started coming out of my 2007 Nissan Murano. I got it to the side of the road and it would no longer start. A tow truck took it to A+ Auto Service. They charged me $130.00 and misdiagnosed it as having a blown gasket among other things. They told me it would cost $4,729.17 to fix. The car is only worth about $1,000, so I had it towed to Mike's garage for a 2nd opinion. Mike told me that there was nothing wrong with the gasket at all. It was just a coolant hose. He was able to fix it for $450.00 and it is now running perfectly. I am asking A+ Auto Service to refund me the $130.00 as they were totally wrong in their diagnosis. Based on what they said, I was ready to sell the car. I asked both Doug and Ricky at A + to refund my $130.00 . Doug could not help me and Ricky said I would have to take the car for a block test and then he might refund me half of the $130.00. It would cost $130.00 just to have the test so that is ridiculous. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income so $130.00 is a lot of money for me to spend on a total misdiagnosis. I have already contacted citibank and they gave me a conditional credit on my credit card while they investigate. I am asking a + Auto Service to refund $130.00 or I will be glad to get my attorney involved.

Customer claims we misdiagnosed his car. He towed in the car because it overheated and then died. Once car was towed in we found that the battery is bad and needs replaced. He also found a coolant hose that was leaking. Due to the car overheating we did a chemical block test to see if any other damage happen from the overheating. It failed the chemical block test showing that the head gasket had failed. Customer declined the repairs and towed the car elsware for a 2nd opinion. Wherever he towed the car they replaced the battery we suggested and the hose we suggested. They did not do a follow up on the block test and said it was unwarranted. I told the customer I would refund half the diag if he had proof the head gasket was now passing a chemical test. Customer said that test was unwarranted and If I did not refund his money he would leave us a bad review and contact the BBB.

I had a brake line leak occur on on my 1999 Ford F150 on Wednesday morning 6/1/22 . I had the vehicle towed from *** ******** **** ****** , Summerville , SC. to A + auto services 621 Old Trolley Rd, Summerville, SC 29485 at 7.30am . At about 8 am I called A+ auto to confirm the vehicle was there and the reason for the tow . I was told that a mechanic would get to it when they had time . I was told on Wednesday or Thursday that a brake line under the hood had to be replaced . On Friday 6/3/22 at 4:52 pm edt , I picked up the " repaired " vehicle and had to return immediately due to the brake pedal being " soft " and moving to far down towards the floor board ( that had not been that way before the line leak ) . I was told to leave the truck overnight , it may be air in the brake lines . I said Ok , I have to cancel a doctors appointment for Saturday . On Saturday afternoon 6/4/22 I picked up the "re-repaired " truck and upon driving it I realized that it appeared that nothing had been done to correct the pedal issue . A + had 3 1/2 days to work on the vehicle . I had another doctors appointment I could not cancel on Tuesday 6/7/22 and kept the truck to use to go to my appointment , I had no other way or funds to get to my appointment . On Wednesday morning 6/8/22 I brought my truck into ******* ***** and ****** at **** Dorchester Rd, Summerville, SC 29485 . I was told that the rear drum brakes needed adjusting and the "soft ' pedal issue was worked on and repaired . I replied to a "Survey " from A + auto on 6/12/22 and sent a follow up Email on 6/16/22 trying to resolve this issue . I have not receive a response ! Thank you . ****** ***** .
