            Project started May 13, 2023 and ended June 13, 2023. This was for a master bathroom conversion from a garden tub to shower, convert the existing shower to a linen closet and new luxury vinyl floor and painting. The problem is the contractor was unlicensed according to the Labor, Licensing & Regulation Board of South Carolina. He was not qualified to do this scope of work. He did not take out the proper business license and permit as required by the City of Fountain Inn, SC since he did not have a current license issued by the LLR Board of South Carolina. He was previously cited and fined by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation Residential Builders Commision for doing work outside his scope and failure to obtain bonding for a project exceeding $5000.00 on June 03.2022. His license #*** ****** The work performed is shotty and substandard and needs to be completely ripped out and redone properly in a professional manner. Since this contractor is not qualified to do this scope of work, his resolution would not fix anything properly and could not being licensed. When asked if he did obtain a permit, he told us, "The permits are to be pulled for adding things to the out side of house only. A bathroom don't need them". That's when we call the Town of Fountain Inn. We paid him in 2 installments - May 13, 2023 for $4,465.85 Check #*** and June 13, 2023 for $5,000.00 Check #***. Invoice #0000262 dated May 13, 2023. His business card says he is licensed and bonded. The LLR site has his license lapsed and nothing about bonding. We are unable to download any records, but we do have hard copies and photos on our cell phones. Please understand we are seniors, my husband is a 15-year veteran. A customer review of this business was also submitted. We would appreciate your assistance. Thank you, ********* * ****** *****
